Right, thanks for that, it was the reference to wee Ronnie that escaped me. Deco should bank his pay cheques and keep his wee mooth zipped.

As an aside,I went to see Corbett at the Hay festival, what a boring little twerp he was. If it wasn't for the great Ronnie Barker I'm sure no-one would have even heard of the pompous midget.

I was supposed to caddy for RC at a celebrity tournament at Bush Hill Park golf club back in the 70's but he cancelled at the last minute. I ended up caddying for a pro golfer called Keith Robson, nothing special there but Keith's playing partner was Nick Job who proceeded to break the course record that day shooting a 59. Stunning golf the man played and it was a privilege to have witnessed it first hand so I owe Mr Corbett that one.

I won a national golf tournament (this isn't me trying to do a Brian M) at the Belfry where Corbett was the guest speaker....funny wee guy and co presented the trophy to me.....all a bit hazy due to the amount of free wine, but I remember him being very pleasant
