Moving the goalposts

Featured Replies

I'm a season ticket holder at IFK and our goalie has hit the headlines for moving the goalposts

To the Sun

Severs Örebro right for playing on an artificial pitch, it's not that far north.

Apparently he's not the only one it's common practice on artificial pitches. He was caught on camera by CanalPlus who televised the game, which I don't think he knew when asked after the game about it and at least he didn't try to lie either he just admitted it. The ref didn't take any action as he didn't see him do it, he only noticed after twenty minutes.

With only six games left the last thing IFK need is for him to get suspended; they are currently top on goal difference with AIK in second. IFK and AIK play each other on the last day of the season Göteborg against Stockholm =bloodbath both on and off the pitch.

A week later it's a rematch in the Swedish Cup final - this time in Stockholm.

I read about it in the news yesterday and I couldn't believe what I saw when I watched it on youtube. How could he be so daft? :(

And talking of news from Sweden, I also read about it this one the other day:

That's something you think would only happen in a movie.

(Sorry for going off topic)

The funny thing was the police were on the ground watching them. One police was refused permission to shoot at the helicopter. The police in Sweden make the Keystone cops look efficient.

Thanks for this link Tim. Not for the subject you were posting about (as good as that story may be) but on The Sun

link there is then a separate link which meant I got see see pics of Corries Rosie Webster in basque and stockings.

Wow!

Never been a massive Corrie fan but looks like I might be tuning in a bit more now.

Welcome to Sweden - where the cops shout "stop that" and have no Plan B :300:

Wow!

Must admit that took my eye too

Nothing new here. I used to move the posts when I played in goal in a 5-a-side league. I would turn up early to ensure we got the choice of ends and would go to the end where they'd be defending and kick the base of the posts which made the goal about another foot wider. I'd then do the same at my end when the half time whistle went and when I got to the other end I'd kick the posts back to their original position. Cheeeeaaatttt!!

The swedish football association came out with their verdict about this yesterday. The keeper got off without any punishment.

I think our football association might actually be worse than the FA.

But it's good to know that it's okay for all keepers in Sweden to change the size of the goal :P
