You know I met Phil Lynott in Atlanta once in about 1982 and sad to say he was so wasted he could hardly speak a coherent sentence. He had an aurora about him that I felt I was in the presence of a real star.

Considering everything I've heard and read about him, that doesn't surprise me much. He was hitting the smack pretty hard by that point.

I met a guy in a pub who painted Eric Bell (Thin Lizzy's original guitarist)'s car once, though.
