There was claims for us going in witha 1.5mil a year contrant but to let him stay on load for the rest of the season and possible next(no dea on fee est) which would make sense considering the new youth policy. I could see our club being interested in making a bid, but not in getting into a bidding war.

Im glad this "saga" is over as this kid was being touted way too much imo. I have only watched Racing once this year, but all the fuss over him seems to have sprung up after he scored two beautiful goals, and people discovered he was out of contract soon.

Im glad Madrid will get him, because it keeps him out of a rivals clutches, but I cant help but feel as if this kid will need to stay away from them for at least 2 years on loan if he is to be successful. Too many young careers have been killed moving there far too soon in their careers. Robinho, Drenthe, Julio Baptista, Cicinho, and now Benzema looks to be the latest casualty.

Mind you, if he fulfills his rumored potential, a trio of Ronaldo--Canales--Higuain will be leading the line for Madrid for quite a few years.
