Backbiter Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 What praise he gets is for his commitment and leadership, while his footballing qualities are absurdly overlooked. He's typecast as the archetypal English centre half in the Terry Butcher mould, which has some truth in it given his on-field bravery, but his distribution skills are second-to-none. Take a look at his passing stats in the last three games: v Burnley 45 passes 0 inaccurate, 1 goal v Birmingham 57 passes, 0 inaccurate v Sunderland 27 passes, 0 inaccurate, 1 assist (phenomenal chipped pass to A Cole) That's three entire Prem matches in which his passing has been 100% perfect. 129 passes without misplacing a single one. That is just astonishing. Compare Carragher in one match v Wolves last week: 45 Passes, 16 unsuccessful. Clearly his form is not affected by all this business

charierre Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 We can do without any player or manager of the month awards to derail us.....wait till May, player and manager of the season will do just fine
TheWestwayWonder Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 That is actually astonishing. How a person over three games can not put a single pass wrong.

midlandblue Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 That is actually astonishing. How a person over three games can not put a single pass wrong. Perhaps Terry should take Deco for a little extra training.
