Backbiter Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 (edited) I always enjoy trawling through people's lists of all-time favourite songs, in the vague hope I'll discover something truly breathtaking that's passed me by in the past 48 years (well, more like 40, as we didn't even have a record player till I was 8). Here's a link to one such list in the Telegraph which contains plenty of songs I've never heard, so I shall give some of his selections a listen. Interesting that he puts a Bowie song at number 100 and at number 1. Numbers 100-76 here Would anyone else in the known universe have a Glasvegas song in their all-time 25? EDIT: Everyone will be thrilled to discover Richard Harris's cake song makes the list!! Edited February 14, 2010 by Backbiter
moi Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 EDIT: Everyone will be thrilled to discover Richard Harris's cake song makes the list!! I am delighted (though NOT surprised!) - not sure if BlueBeard will be!
clubhappy Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 89....'You'll never walk alone '' ?? I feel physically sick . 5...Lola by the Kinks, probably the best song of the 60s . 1...Life on Mars ? Yeah great song, one of my all time fav songs but i thought Starman was better. Anyway, glad 'Bo Rhapsody 'or bloddy 'Imagine 'didnt get the NO 1 slot.
mad_mac Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 89....'You'll never walk alone '' ?? I feel physically sick . Repulsive, isn't it Ian?! If the Scousers come back on here going on about how London based media always portrays them in a bad light, ask them to expain this nonsense
