dkw Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 The Premier League have received an official complaint from West Ham about Fulham's team selection against Hull City. The Cottagers made six changes for last Saturday's Premier League clash at the KC Stadium, which Hull won 2-0. Manager Roy Hodgson then made five changes ahead of Thursday's 2-1 win over Wolfsburg in the Europa League quarter-finals, with Aaron Hughes, Dickson Etuhu, Damien Duff, Danny Murphy and Bobby Zamora coming back into the starting line-up. Just when you think the spammers couldnt get more embarrassing they go and do something ridiculous like this. And just to make it better this is what Roy Hodgson supposedly said on SKY last night:- Hodgson's quote was that they might put a complaint in because West Ham have fielded a weakened team all year I quite like Woy.
bjd Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 If i was a West Ham i would be embarrassed to read this. Thankfully im not and i havent been near a caravan since 1986 in Selsey Bill.

You'd think so, especially since they were on the recieving end of Warnock/Sheff Utd lawsuits not too long ago. Gold and Sullivan said recently that it would be "financial armaggedon" for West Ham if they were relegated. If thats the case, its hardly surprising they would do something undignified if it helped their cause
bluewilky Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Roy Hodgson "tak a boo son" what a classy guy great shot fired back at the hammers if its true i hope it is
sleepy_gonzalez Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Is this revenge for Fulham suing them over the Tevez thing? The rule about always playing your strongest side is stupid anyway, if you followed it to the letter you'd find it was unenforcable. I think managers should have freedom to choose their team from their available players. If you can't field a 'weakened' side, how will you ever give your youngsters experience without sending them on loan? If you think a player deserves a rest and you are prepared to risk rotating in favour of a 'weaker' player, then why not? I personally find it funny that WHU are trying to call on a rule designed to ensure high quality competitive football, when their own brand of football is suspect enough to make them prime relegation candidates and the targets of their moaning have distinguished themselves domestically and in Europe. I just hope they come up against purely first string sides for the rest of their (doomed) campaign. And cough up the 500,000 Fulham are after. Sorry Clarkey and Zola. Best turn the lights off when you leave, eh?
