Millwall captain Paul Robinson's strike edged out Swindon and earned the Lions promotion to the Championship.

The Londoners dominated the first half and had an effort disallowed when Kevin Amankwaah thumped a header into his own net but Liam Trotter was given offside.

The Lions took the lead when Danny Schofield's corner flicked to Robinson who slammed home from close range.

Swindon should have levelled but Charlie Austin skewed his finish wide when one-on-one with the goalkeeper.

Millwall had 37.000 at the game will be lucky to have a gate of 15.000 nexted season. millwall=scum. the championship will have a few tasty ties nexted season with this lot Millwall, Cardiff, Swansea,Bristol City,Pompey,Qpr,Notts Forest,Burnley,Barnsley,Boro.Sheff Utd,Hull Leeds. I reckon the championship police will be real busy nexted year. Id hate to sea Millwall get to the premiership their fans dont deserve it. as for leeds they would laugh at us if we were in their postion so hope they dont come up either.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I'm pleased Millwall have got promoted. Old alliances are hard to forget.

i'm not so sure about that. i was a little surprised at the vehemence of bluegraham's reaction, but didn't want to get into a row over it... and i still don't. like i said, i was surprised, but he's entitled to his opinion.

i mean, this ain't tottenham we're talking about.

That's fair enough, everybody's got different feelings about this. I've had a few run-ins with Millwall over the years, but on the other hand I've fought side-by-side with them when Chelsea and Millwall joined forces now and again back in the 70's - good days :D

You know my feelings about the Lions Steve, I held back from replying to earlier posts too. Look forward to them reaching the PL, hopefully replacing the pikey boys.

well the only millwall game i was at was in the cup in 95 john spencer missed a penalty, the reason i dont like millwall is because like i said they brought 37000 to wembeley they will be lucky to get 15000 next season. I dont want them in the premiership either number 1 it wont be an easy place to go number 2 id hate to see them strutting around stamford bridge like they own it. number 3 we have enough london derbies thats just my views. saying that if they did make it to the premiership it wuld be some achievment. one team in london

ok, i'll try to go through a few of your points.

the reason i dont like millwall is because like i said they brought 37000 to wembeley they will be lucky to get 15000 next season.

but the same thing happens with all smaller teams. when a non league team gets to the FA trophy final or whatever it's called, half the town will go to wembley, yet their average attendance might be only a few hundred.

neither are tottenham, west ham, cardiff to name but three.

id hate to see them strutting around stamford bridge like they own it.

see tottenham and west ham above.

number 3 we have enough london derbies thats just my views

well you're entitled to your opinion, but with respect i don't think that's much of a reason. any more than if someone were to say they didn't want blackpool to go up because there are already enough lancashire teams in the premiership.

millwall=scum

like i said, i don't want to get into an argument. but that is just a little over the top. millwall may have a larger than average hooligan element, but so do plenty of teams outside the premiership.

for the record, i only went to millwall once, and that was the 3-0 defeat at the old den. no need to go over all that again. as others have already written in some depth, it was more of an experience than a football match.

and i wouldn't have missed it for the world!

feck that you after starting an argument wheather you like it are not lol only kidding. thats just my view on millwall. football fan wise who would you consider scum? as for blackpool i dont care about them for the reason you satated there a lancashire club. im on about london derbies. but anyway your entitled to your opinion im entitled to mine thats what the site is all about opinions. ;)
