I hope someone comes in at the last minute, but I think the HMRC will dig their heel's in after being messed around by so many clubs over the past few years!

Have they cheated?... and deserve what they're getting? Will alarm bell's start ringing around the Premier League? will this start a domino effect for clubs living in the red, beyond their means? Will they get away with it, or will they be reformed in the Rymans league next season?

Either way, I hope they survive....I'd hate to think the last game they played was against us in the FA cup final!!

Good luck Pompey!

Well, that is awesome news. Who wouldve ever guess they would come that close to extinction 2 years after the FA cup?

Surely even with the embargo they can just move up youth teamers and fill out their first team. But I doubt they survive the Championship.

Well, Pompey did it, they're free to play this season - great news.

HMCR can go get f*cked

Im not entirely sure how comfortable I am with this. Ignoring the Tax they owed (which is basically owed to us, and im fairly sure the majority of companies who arent football clubs wouldnt have gotten away with it) the thing that worries me is the way their creditors will now get next to f**k all back. I remember when the list was produced and there were loads of small local business`s (some of which have now gone under because they never got the money owed) there were schools, charities and all kinds who will all now get about 10p in the pound at best. I know it would have been very harsh on the fans but the owners who caused this sh*t storm have now walked away completely without any recourse. The f**king w**kers.

Not sure about their youth set-up, but I know they recently disbanded their reserves for financial reasons. They currently have 12 players on their books with West Ham linked with Botang and Bolton after Nugent.

I see where you're coming from DKW - the judges reasoning was that the season starts at the weekend and he didn't have time to deliberate all the financial reports in time. I hear they still owe the St John ambulance service money

I agree, I was thinking more of the fans than the c*nts who left 'em in the sh*t
