Sturridge apparently scored a goal for the U21 team.

Malouda was captain for France, but that didn't help much because they still lost to Belarus. Didn't see the game so I don't know if he was to blame or if France just sucked as usual.

He certainly did. With Franco gone and us not brining in antihero attacker - I really hope we see more of him in the Premiership this season.

I heard on the radio today that Sturridge played in a more withdrawn role, often dropping into midfield, and did very well in it. Not a position I would expect to do well in but nice to hear he adapted to it successfully.
