John Terry and Chelsea Managers

With more rumours about Carlo's exit I got to thinking about JT. I think I'm right when I say Carlo is his seventh manager at Chelsea right? He's got to be the Player who has served under most managers ever at Chelsea, but what about in England? How many players have had more than seven managers at the same club?

Chopper joined Chelsea in 1961, so I think his first manager would have been Tommy Doc, who took over from Ted Drake that same year. He stayed till 1980, so in that time would have played under:

Tommy Docherty

Dave Sexton

Ron Suart

Eddie McCreadie

Ken Shellito

Danny Blanchflower

Geoff Hurst

And maybe Ted Drake, but I'm not certain about this either way.

Ted Drake's last game as Chelsea manager was on 30/9/61 when we lost 4-0 to Blackpool. Chopper didn't make his debut until24/2/62 against Sheffield Wednesday when we won 1-0

I knew Chopper played for the youth team in '61, while Ted Drake was still manager, but it would be stretching a point to say that he played under Ted Drake, unless he had overall control and there wasn't a separate youth team setup.
