The 'law of the land' FA!

Featured Replies

The FA indeed wanted their pound of flesh! This kangaroo court does nothing but undermine a real court of law! I thought this might happen because they cannot come to the same conclusion as a real court of law because it will undermine their decision on suarez. The high and mighty FA cannot be wrong! JT appealing will do no good because it seems he was already guilty before it started in their pc views! People can debate all they want about different procedures but it is still the same procedure dressed up differently! It is all about agendas! Doubt if i will be going to wembly or FA matches until real change has really occurred at the FA!

I think FA used the loophole of not punishing JT of racism - which he was cleared of by the court - but rather call it "misconduct". That way they didn't technicaly go agains the court, but still managed to do what they've wanted to do from day one.

Yup, looks like they have gotten around the court case by saying they've fined/banned him on terms of abusive/foul language that may have included a racial slur.

The FA have not called John Terry a racist. It is the media which is doing that....

The FA have charged JT with using abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards Queens Park Rangers’ Anton Ferdinand and which included a reference to colour and/or race contrary. He has admitted to insulting Ferdinand with the bad breath gesture, plus he admitted calling him a knob head. Straight away there is the insulting and words and/or behaviour.

He also made reference (it doesnt take into account context) of the words JT spoke regarding Antons race. Given that John Terry has admitted using the words f'ing black c'nt there can be no dispute that he used them. Hence the FA's charge and result is fully justifed against there rules.

They have not called him a racist. He has not been charged with Racism. numerous character witnessess have come out to testify in defence of JT and have said he is not racist, and judge Riddle also concluded that he did not think JT is Racist.....the racist element is being spewed about by the media....of whom i expect no less.

The problem i have with the FA's charge is that the banter which JT has been charged over goes on in 99% of all footy games. Ferdinand said worse abusive and insulting words, but did not get charged. It is hugely inconsistant.

If they ban every player who says "knob head" or worse, the pitches will be rather empty in the future.

As you said, Anton said worse things and I haven't seen him being charged yet.

And banning someone because of something that is taken out of context is wrong. What if a player use the n-word and another say "don't you dare call him n****r!"

Does that mean the 2nd player can be banned? Apparently.

What the FA has done is knitpicking their way to get JT banned. They screwed up from day one and has been trying to cover their s*it up since then.

I find it utterly pathetic and I hope JT appeals to CAS and is declared not guilty. Then I hope he takes that verdict, makes a copy for each and everyone at the FA and goes there to shove it up each and everyones a*se with an unlubricated horsec*ck.

I am not saying they are right, however it is justified against their own rules....He did use insulting behaviour, and there was reference to race.

And no, if someone said, "dont you dare call him a n%%ger" - then i dont think that person would be banned...it is not the same thing though and is no way in relation to what JT allegedly said. For a start JT was using other insults mixed in with the major racial allegation....

If he had just said "Anton, do you think i called you a black c**t" and nothing else (i.e no other insults) then i also dont think he would have been banned.....but that is not what he said.

He allegedly said "Black c**t? Knobhead" - and that alongside the other insulting remarks/behaviour was enough for the FA to get their man.

I genuinely don't understand why this took so long.

Hate to be the Ugly American here but if this happened in the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, *boom* a decision in 3 days to give John Terry a 4 game ban. John, Ferdinand, the fans, we can all move on.

INSTEAD! The FA drags this on, and let's this situtation fester so by taking so long they make the whole thing nastier and more poisonous.

Maybe it's just the FA being incompetent, maybe it's a English culture thing I dunno. This whole incident just leaves me dumbfounded.

I think you hit the nail on the head there.
