ivanovic 7.5 another strong performance. is playing himself into some good form now.

cahill 8 plenty of great blocks, stunning finish. he's so much better than I expected him to be. that we never talk about alex is a tribute to him.

luiz 5 had a hand in both goals conceded and took some unnecessary risks bringing the ball out. made some good interceptions and clearances but a defender cannot make this many mistakes. that we still talk about carvalho and gallas reflects poorly on david.

cole 7.5 like most fullbacks who like to play tight to his man, he sometimes struggles against players who are faster than him. still fought hard and had a very good game.

ramires and mikel 8 apart from 15 mins in the second half they bossed spurs. two ramires' would lack discipline and presence. two mikel's would be too immobile and unambitious. together they are looking a really high standard partnership.

oscar 7 good, solid performance. moves across the pitch brilliantly, passes well. basically incredibly smart and efficient. a natural footballer.

hazard 8 great assist, good direct running and never afraid of using his body even if he knows he'll get clattered. few attacking players have that bravery. robben didn't, ronaldo does. this boy is going to work out okay.

mata 9 great finishes, great passing and great touch. our brain and key player. brilliant.

torres 7 taking too long when he has the goal in his sights is becoming a recurring thing. that said he's still winning things in the air and bringing people into play. decent, but can do better.

sturridge came on, got a goal immediately. always shows a great desire to get behind the defence. can't ask for more than that.

Thought ivan really struggled today and don't see how luiz could do anything about either goal. Ivan failed to follow the guy on the back post, and mikel gave the ball away and they scored a great goal for the second. I fail to see why you think luiz was responsible for everything.

Cech - 7. Some great saves, but spilt a few things and looked a bit dodgy on occasion as well.

Ivan - 6.5. Worked hard up and down the right, didn't do enough to stop crosses coming in sometimes.

Cahill - 8. Great goal, didn't do much wrong at the back.

Luiz - 7. Some good tackles and clearances. Couple of iffy moments though.

Cole - 6.5. Lennon had the better of him most of the time (as he usually does).

Mikel - 7.5. Mostly good, good tackles and interceptions. But again, a few dodgy moments.

Ramires - 8. Beast.

Mata - 8.5. Two good goals to get us back in front, and some great link-up play with Hazard and Oscar.

Hazard - 7. Quiet in the first half, better in the second as we counter attacked more.

Oscar - 7. Some good link-up play, had a decent effort on goal. Worked hard tracking back and across the field.

Torres - 6. Good build up play in the 1st half, but faded a lot in the 2nd and wasted yet another chance clean through on goal. I don't trust him to get us a goal when we need one.

Sturridge - N/A - Though good to see him getting into the correct positions to score. Let's be honest, if it had been Mata crossing with only Torres to get on the end of it, he would have hung back and not got to it.
