Loud and Proud Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 Read about that a month ago in the cfcuk programme. Think it's a quality idea and the fact the club are supporting the efforts of the fans to get some noise back inside SB is great. I'm getting a ticket for Borough and am going to sit in the Shed just like everyone on this forum that can make the game and hasn't already bought a ticket should. This could be the noise levels renaissance at SB. Love it! UP THE CHELS!
forbzy Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 Great idea. I reckon they should take it one step further though and have a section of unreserved seats in the Shed for the singers too. That way they could truely congregate in 1 place. If it works out I will definitely be trying to get my tickets in that section next time I am over :)
RedRobMol Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 I was going to post on here a week or so ago but never got around to it, regarding your opinions on an initiative being spun out at our place. Ours is named Reclaim the Kop 'RTK' and is of a similar nature, but the fact that our games are sold out earlier than yours means it is different essentially. Really the idea is to educate the daytripper fan into what our history includes from a fans point of view and what has made Anfield so special over the previous 100 years and what is required of them to ensure that the sh*tty Soccer AM sh*te doesnt bog the place down and the atmosphere returns to the place, rather than just for the big games and the European nights. I was going to ask your opinion on that, and whether you had heard about it yourselves, but the fact that you have a similar scheme yourselves means that it is obviously something that is going on more generally than i had realised. i think they are both good ideas although the way ours is structured has caused some real divides as it could be seen to be against the out of town support and can be a little condescending, however i think this is unfortunate because the message is a good one.
Loud and Proud Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 Although this hurts me to say this Redrob Anfield is much louder than SB is. Chelsea have a real problem, in relation to atmosphere at the moment. The kop sounded in full voice to me the other day. When was the last time commentators mentioned atmosphere inside SB other than to slag it off? I cant even remember! This is a step in the right direction though.

glory55 Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 Well done to the club!!! Well done to matthew hardings blue army CFCUK,these people represent proper chelsea supporters!!!
mad_mac Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Good to hear. I remember the last time I was in teh Shed end. It was a League cup game against man utd, and we drew 0-0. Guddy had the ball in the net, but was flagged offside!. Anyway, that was back when they gave MHL and the lower East stand to the away fans. Well, teh shed was quiet, and the ManU fans took the P8ss. I was gutted. All that time I was lokoing forward to get to teh shed, and it wa a huge letdown. I usually sat in the Lower West. Anyone that sung in there that night looked out of place , but you could tell who the MHL displacees were! The only ones trying to sing, and songs other than Carefree. I think this is a great idea by the club and fans alike, I think it would be great to have a shed and an MHL that were in full voice. MIght even get teh east upper to sing once in a while. One question though, with teh shed upper being used for away fans, shoud we think about moving them again and getting the whole stand filled by chelsea? That way there would be two opposing ends of the starium filled with singing (hopefully) fans?? Scott

The majority of the shed is filled with Chelsea unless it's a cup game. I dont think there is anywhere else to put the away fans and to be honest i think it improves the banter between fans in the Shed.
bennyboy1976 Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 I have seen this in many other chelsea forums, i brought my tickets in the shed lower as i hear that is where everyone is trying to get for this game. But after that it hear it will be the shed upper as the sounds levels are greater.

This is a step in the right direction though. you have to remember that you lot coming to anfield is one of the big games though and they will always have a good atmosphere, its the early kick offs against bolton or portsmouth etc where we struggle. Also, Bonnetti, very good. I see what you did there.
