    Continuing your English lessons, KF, "nutty as a fruit cake" means "complètement cinglé"

     

    because "nutty" means "dingue/ cinglé" and there are lots of nuts in fruit cakes, therefore ...

     

    You can also talk about being nuts about something.  That means "raffoler de quelquechose"

     

    e.g. Shed Enders are all nuts about Chelsea.
