Robuk88 Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Hi Guys, Hopefully we will get to Lisbon for the final and dont want to tempt fate but been looking at some prices of places to stay in lisbon and they are ridiculous money. Wheres the main drinking area where all the Chelsea fans would be drinking and does anyone know any cheap digs either in lisbon or near the dont mind getting a train out the city if cheaper and not too far. Ive never been before but the quicker you book the cheaper it is i guess Cheers, Rob
Liam Fitzpatrick Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Sorry mate but dont know hope we do get their and have a good time if you go.
Robuk88 Posted April 16, 2014 Author Posted April 16, 2014 Thanks I'll defo go after Amsterdam last year didn't make Munich but the hotels are crazy prices
Beerqueen Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Sorry no idea but have you looked at a package which includes the dates? Portugal is a popular tourist destination and it might be cheaper to do that - you may have to get a train or taxi in to Lisbon on the day. Just an idea but as I say I have no idea.
Robuk88 Posted April 16, 2014 Author Posted April 16, 2014 I've looked at algarve for a week which is cheap enough then travelling up to Lisbon for one night but even for one night the hotels are crazy money
Beerqueen Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 A hotel for one night? Just stay drinking in a bar!!
bluegraham Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I reckon it could depend on which side chelsea of the stadium got if we made it that is. They might do the same as they do at wembley allocate pubs. I'm only guessing really
Bucks Blue Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I think for drinking it will just develop gradually as more fans arrive. For hotels try looking at apartments say 15 minute train journey outside cause they may be cheaper. For flights... well.. IF we make it to the final, the moment the full time whistle goes in that second leg, prices will go through the roof from pretty much every UK airport to Portugal which is a right bar steward! Options can be to go to Faro and train it up... Fly to Porto then the train... Fly to Spain and hire a car. I've looked at it and prices will be a joke after the second leg so i'm gunna see what the scenario is after the first leg and decide!
Robuk88 Posted April 17, 2014 Author Posted April 17, 2014 Cheers guys I'm going to book it this week and take the risk but go to faro like you say I just don't know what train times will stop running but will try look it all up. If you book to algarve for a week your only looking at £150 for inc flights and acom so worry doing that and getting train
