Happy birthday Jim

Jim will be 75 on Friday. Two interesting snippets from Daily Mail comments

"Greaves is the top scorer ever in Europe's top divisions. More than Muller, more than Messi, more than Eusebio. England's best ever striker. Spurs, please bring him back and give him the reception he deserves."

"Would be nice of them to at least ask him, even if he said no. The only club Jimmy has consistently said nice things about are the club that he started with."

That's us by the way (for the benefit of our younger fans)

Absolute legend and lovely to see him looking pretty good on TV in the week leading up to the final. True character and weirdly underrated in many ways,

Great interview with him and he talks about Chelsea a fair bit from about 4 minutes in.

He was looking good 25 years ago when that video was made!

Saw him score 5 against Wolves in 1958. We thought he was from another planet

Good little documentary was when Bobby met Jimmy- all about the friendship between JG and Bobby Moore. They grew up not far from each other and were England room mates and good friends. During the 66 World Cup, as is well documented, Greavesey couldn't get his place back after he got injured. A big hit at the time was Cilla Blacks Alfie. Whenever Alf Ramsey was in earshot of JG, Jimmy would start singing...WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT, ALFIE...

Made me laugh anyway
