Talk of Alex now quite probably irrelevant

As far as I know there is still the work permit issue - he is not playing for Brazil and thus it is unlikely he will be granted a permit to come to Chelsea.

Still not sure why he is allowed to play in Holland though - surely European countries should be playing under the same rules. (what do you reckon David Dein?)

As far as I concerned work permit is English feature only.

And at the of the season I`ve heard he will get Netherlands passport and it means he will be able to move to England without international appearances.

I hadn't heard he was applying for a Dutch passport. Again I don't really see why he should get one. This is only his third season in Holland and he has already represented Brazil 7 or 8 times.

Look at this article on Alex

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 441661.stm

Has anyone else noticed a change in tact is the media with regard to Alex articles. Prior to the Arsenal game and PSV then being drawn against Liverpool and potentially us in the CL semis articles rarely, if ever, mentioned a link between Alex and Chelsea.

Now every article has the standard line

Alex, who is on loan with PSV from Chelsea,

irrespective of the rest of the content in the article.
