Why isn't Sarriball working -- and why Kante won't be moved

Were there any instances of Jorginho being man-marked in Italy? How did Napoli cope in those games?

If that's all it takes to stop Sarriball, I don't think Napoli would have ended up with 91 pts last season?

I am interested by this as well,

I assume the team around Jorginho moved more at Napoli than our quite static players. A lot of our players don't seem to make runs - one exception is Pedro. More runs = more stress to the opposition and more options for a quick pass out from Jorginho. As it stands, Jorginho receives the ball and his options are incredibly limited - it's why he seems to often to keep just giving the ball back where it came from.

If man marking a player was all it took to mark someone out the game, football would be quite boring.

I think with the style differences between Italian & English football being so huge, the comparison is almost irrelevant, yes it’s football but one is built on defensive stability the other on attacking & power.

This is an interesting video comparing Ancelotti and Sarri's Napoli. There's definitely further context though for last season. There is no one size fits all for a coach, they all have strengths and weaknesses. I think due to Sarri being new to the top level of football, i.e with Napoli and now us, he's probably still learning as a manager despite (as people like to keep mentioning) his age.

It's an interesting comparison that in the end results in the same thing, second place behind Juventus. Which begs the question, if the team is just simply worse than Juventus, which is the actual difference between those two teams after all is said and done.
Ancelotti is a great manager no doubt, he inherits a specific team that was built by Sarri but he doesn't destroy it completely, he adapts it a bit for his own vision and tactics and makes a hybrid team.
Sarri takes over Chelsea and doesn't make a hybrid team he destroys all previous tactics and starts working from scratch, but even so he's currently making the cut as the team is among the top 4.
Those 2 observations also beg the same question again, if it's so different but in the end so similar result-wise, does it come down to the quality of the players in the end of the day?

I was watching one of his Napoli teams defensively and the defenders and midfield never stopped moving like sharks which meant that any players trying to close them down could easily collide with the mobile defenders whom could easily shield the ball player.
