Senior Citizen Season Ticket

Featured Replies

Having had a Season Ticket at Stamford Bridge for 28 years, finally qualified for a SC Season Ticket for coming season. A little shocked to find out that if I can't make a game, I cannot upgrade the ticket and have a family member use it for Premiership home matches It seems that if I can't go then the seat remains empty! Can any other Senior Citizen Season Ticket holders advise me if they are able to upgrade tickets to full adult price for Cup and Champs League games? I've tried to get through to CFC on phone but so far no luck,  as always busy.

I can't answer your question, but if it's not possible to upgrade it to a full adult ticket price, you can offer your seat for sale in the club's Ticket Exchange. So you have a chance of getting some money and fill the seat.

The general enquiries line and ticket line are closed at the moment!! Shame they don’t state it on the recorded message. Have emailed the club,  but won’t hold my breath for the hem to up date message.

We had a senior sit behind us and he had the same issue. He couldn’t upgrade for any game

Alas the only way it worked if he passed his ST and indeed his tickets for CL / FA Cup games on to a family member who likewise qualified for a concession in his case that was always a junior which I always wondered about but he maintained that was allowed

This May help

CAN A TICKET BE UPGRADED TO AN ADULT OR DOWNGRADED TO A CHILD OR SENIOR?

Unfortunately, the club does not offer upgrades or downgrades as per the Ticketing policy.

I think it’s because it wouldn’t be possible to reflect that upgrade when the season ticket is scanned for entry although surely it could be arranged to pick up an upgraded physical ticket at the box office (or be charged £2 to print it at home)?

I would like to point out that the last season we all attended I’d quite often get mine and my dads tickets mixed up and nobody ever challenged it.

Sorry for  late response to replies to my post. Finally got to talk to senior member of staff in ticketing office and they confirmed club is unable to upgrade Senior Citizen ticket and not even able to upgrade Champions League or Cup games when purchasing seat. This dilemma of qualifying for a Senior Citizen must be a common occurrence, as the staff member offered to upgrade my season ticket to full price right there on the phone and muttered that ‘many do’.  Full price paid and season ticket delivered within 3 days.

Very risky in passing Senior Season ticket to others who not 65 and over as the new card is bright orange and not grey, like the Adult tickets. Easily spotted at the gate. Others advise they have passed the SC ticket to others and the user has been stopped and refused entry to the ground. Not worth the risk, even if the potential to get away with it. Can’t see why CFC can’t go that little extra for fans who have supported the club for over 45 years and been Season ticket holders for  28 years but realise we are now ‘customers’ not just fans.
