A great result and performance. Much better than yesterday's game.

How was the performance? Could only get scrappy updates on talksport & they made it sound like a boring game.

I should say that I comparing it to yesterday's game which as we know was dire. I thought that the Chelsea women played with more intent and there was some good passing and the passing was forward. Strange that Talksport found the game and to be fair to Manchester United they played well. The Chelsea substitutions also made a difference. Kerr took her goal well. I was very impressed with Buurman. A very assured performance. Cuthbert was brilliant as always.

Next game is the League Cup Final against today's opponents.

What happened to Basil? The United crowd was louder on the youtube feed.

Basil was there but not in his usual spot - or spots as he moves around - in the North Stand and was in the West Stand. I heard him a few times. Manchester United had about two-thirds of the North Stand. Usually away fans have a quarter - if that - of the away section in the North Stand. I guess that like the men's cup competitions the away team has to have a greater allocation of tickets. The United fans did make a lot of noise; the loudest I've heard from away fans I've heard at Kingsmeadow. Those Chelsea fans who usually sit in the North Stand were in the West and South Stands. There was a group from the North Stand standing in front of me in the South Stand. They made a lot of noise. Some of the language was colourful!
