Riccy's injury.

Featured Replies

Anyone have any news on Riccy's injury against Reading? Will he miss Liverfool, if so how long is he likely to be out?

One day we will play Liverfool without key players missing.

Think Jose said JT will be back for L*verpool, but that Riccy will be out for a few weeks. Not good news, but hopefully Tal and JT can forge a good understanding.

Terry back to boost Blues

"I think I am going to be without Ricardo for a while but John Terry is back," revealed the Portuguese coach after Chelsea's second win of the fledgling campaign.

"I lose one central defender but I win another one. John was back in training today (Wednesday) with no limitations.

"He trained for one-and-a-half hours with the reserves in a very competitive situation.

"He could have played tonight but I wanted to protect him. He is ready for the next game so (England coach) Steve McClaren can drink some champagne tonight after that information."

edit: Sorry about the double post. I thought the first one didn't work. Sorry.

So we lose a really good defender and get a world class defender back. Could be worse icon_wink.gif

I hope JT can strengthen our defence so that we don't concede any goals against Pool. 128.gif

Well isn't that the story of our season to date - injuries?

Lose one player then gain another.

I think the thing about JT is the communication factor - MOTD said the other day our defence looks worrying at times (they're right) and that JT give so much security in that he makes sure everyone is aware of what they are meant to be doing at set pieces etc. At the moment MOTD says balls go into the box and it's a general free for all and no one seems to know who to mark.

Liverpool will be the first real high class test of the defence we currently have, so I'm with you on the praying front that we hold firm. 128.gif
