'New Ibrahimovic' in talks with Chelsea

by Chris Stanton, 04 December 2007

Chelsea are in negotiations to sign Marko Mitrovic, the 16-year-old Malmo forward dubbed 'the new Zlatan Ibrahimovic'.

The teenage Swede has attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal, Blackburn, Inter, Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven, but Chelsea are at the front of a growing queue.

Malmo's sporting director Hasse Borg has revealed that the Swedish club are holding talks with their English counterparts.

However, Borg added a cautious note to suggestions that a transfer was imminent.

"We are in negotiations with Chelsea at the moment, but nothing has been decided yet," he said.

maybe hes a ripe melon?

icon_lol.gif good jose memories

let's get this kid, before we see in the future that he's a great player and we lost out on him. Well even if he isn't the "new insert name here" he must have some kind of superior skills for his age to even be mentioned.

Apparently he has signed for us now. happy0034.gif

However it appears as if he hasn't signed. He will join us and the chairman of his team has said that he's going to Chelsea. Mirkovic will now go to Chelsea and sign the contract. That's all that's missing.

So he hasn't signed just yet, but he is any day now. Mirkovic will be a Chelsea player and he has said that he will now move to England with his family.
