Posted December 29, 200717 yr If you didn't see it make sure you see the highlights, Bendtner carried out GBH on Andy Johnson (definitely worse than Riccy's challenge) and got his second yellow for it, why he didn't get a straight red on the ref knows. Then Fabregas (the snivelling little c*nt) conspired to get Arteta (who's one of his best mates) sent off. Arsenal were second best for more or less the entire game and if it wasn't for Everton's lack of concentration they would have got nothing from this game. I'm sure this will all be brushed under the carpet though by the media.
December 29, 200717 yr yes, i saw the game. I felt that Eevrton should have won it, just couldn't convert their chances to goals. Arteta getting sent off was a huge suprise for me, he's an amazing midfielder and was all over arsenal's defense during that game. But i did laugh when Howard basically gave that goal to Adebayor, bad mistake between goalkeeper and defender. that challenge from Bendtner, I thought Johnson broke his leg! On the replay you can see Johnson's leg bend, fortunatley for him he wasn't inured. But once again Arsenal play dirty to win dirty. BTW, Bendtner was supposed to come off a few minutes before he was sent off but a mis-communication between the ref and the linesman didn't allow him to come off. We'll probally hear Wenger moaning about this
December 30, 200717 yr Not to mention the blatant handball by Eduardo just before he scored the 2nd goal. Same old Arsenal, always cheating...............
December 30, 200717 yr Same old Arsenal, always cheating............... I wonder if they are saying the same thing about Chelsea?
December 30, 200717 yr Same old Arsenal, always cheating............... I wonder if they are saying the same thing about Chelsea? You'll find all the other supporters chant the 'same old Arsenal' song, they've been doing it for years and the song has been doing the rounds since the 70's.
December 30, 200717 yr I think that the score line flattered Le arse more than the game warranted. Everton just couldn't make the most out of their chances, then the poor communication between defender and keeper really seasled the deal. Of course Arse also bossed the ref, and got scrappy a few times....nothing will eb said of this. Also, that tw*t of a journo who said Mikel should have just got up and dusted himself off after the Crouch tackle....I wonder what his take was on fabregas's antics to get Arteta sent off. If I had been Arteta I would have stamped on the f*cker while he was on the ground: "if your getting me sent off, it might as well be for something wirthwhile" would be my excuse Scott

I said to my old man, the only way that Everton were going to lose that match was if they didn't concentrate and they proved me right. On Fabregas's antics, I thought it would have been a nice touch if Moyes had given him a nice sarcastic round of applause as was subbed in thanks for his performance, I'm sure it would have incensed Wenger and Fabregas would have probably reacted as well.

Moyes is too classy to do that. Besides, I'm pretty sure he'd already arranged for Big Dunc to pay Fabregas a visit later this week
December 30, 200717 yr Is it just me or does Everton usually f*ck things up against big teams? Well, unless they play us it seems. They messed it up against Arsenal. I didn't see the game but from what I heard Everton controlled the game and should have won. Last season (or the season before that) they did the same against ManU. They were in the lead and just threw it away. It actually looked like they wanted ManU to win. They are slowly turning into a team that I really hate. Which is sad because I kinda liked them before.
December 31, 200717 yr Did anyone notice Arteta's set pieces. He was great at them. He didnt deserve a red card but the refree was confused after seeing fabregas fall as if he had been shot by a sniper. Fabregas should be embarrassed. Lampard or johnterry wuld never do something like that when playng against their nationa teammates.
December 31, 200717 yr it's an arsenal player, what do you expect? Lampard and Terry are class, professionals; not divers. I respect Arteta, he's a great player too, but I loved the expression on his face when the ref gave him the red. Whoever said it before, i agree, Arteta should have stomped on Fabregas; got the red, might as well use make it count
