lauren
hmm what do you think, he's going as Keegan's No.2 big compensation package to Leeds.
Maksimov
Bad move...should've stayed at Leeds until the summer and see if he can get them promoted. He quits his job as a manager to become a director of football.
andy
Its a cracking move for him... He is an ambitious young manager Took Milwall to the FA cup final bought Leeds back form the brink of death Which is a great young managers CV, but where is the top level expereince? It rounds of his Football managers CV nicely.
Maksimov
How is being a director of football better for your manager's career than managing a team?
loz
It hasn't been announced that he is to be a director of football (as far as I know anyway), it is still being reported as an undisclosed role. Rightly or wrongly having a high ish profile role within a Premiership club is far more likely to lead you to managing a Premiership club than managinf a club in the lower divisions. For his career it is a good move and I would be surprised if he is a Director of Football (although that role can mean just about anything), being KK's number two makes a lot more sense. TomP
Rumour is that Ken Bates is going to jump ship from Leeds in the next few months - and Wisey didn't want to be around without Ken.
Guest Brian M
Rumour is that Ken Bates is going to jump ship from Leeds in the next few months - and Wisey didn't want to be around without Ken. Where is that rumour coming from? L**ds would be top of the table if not for their points deduction. And will still probably get promoted (let's hope not though!). Why would Bates move on, just when he's turned the ship around? Unless he's selling out to another billionaire for a tidy profit, that is. Because someone buying L**ds at the moment could get them really cheap. And they've got a lot of twats, sorry, supporters. And the value of the club would go through the roof if they could get back into the PL.
