Ghana vs Morocco

Featured Replies

Essien was excellent, and the commentators could'nt praise him high enough. His partnership with Muntari seem's to be coming together nicely, and it was Ghana's best performance yet.

Junior Agogo looked phenomenal up front. They could'nt handle his pace, or power.

On the other hand, Morocco looked awful...

Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Egypt look the favourites, and time will tell whether the host nation can handle the pressure? Although they are gaining momentum steadily.

Kalou, Drogba, and Essien seem to be having good tournaments. Mikel is unfortunate to be in a poor Nigeria team, who look a shadow of their former selves.

In the light of Joe Cole's (alleged) renaissance under Grant, should we be asking why Essien's form for Chelsea has dipped so alarmingly under Grant's leadership when he was our player of the year last season and clearly in fine form for his country?

I dont think Essien's form for us was worryingly poor? Many players have peaks and troughs.

Maybe he was saving himself?

He was everywhere yesterday. The BBC said, he was emmense. Able to play Midfield or Defence - The complete player.

Let's hope he stays injury free, because if he comes back as he is, he will be fantastic for us on his return.
