Lamps and Drogba will not be here next season.

Them's the breaks. We have (or will buy) players as good or better to take their place.

The cycle of life continues. And Chelsea will move onward and upward.

Okay, not wanting to be controversial, it's time for lamps to move on. He's done his time with us. Mikel & Ballack can more than comfortably cover for him. The team held him for far too long today....

Grant made the biggest disaster of his tenure so far by starting with Frank today and making him captain to boot. Was he mad? All our midfield shape was lost. When he went off on the hour mark, we had more impetus but it was too little too late :-(

Why did Grant say that Lamps would not walk straight back into the team when clearly he did and not only that but captain as well!!! What a farking joke !!!

When will we see the day that Grant's team beats a top 4 team!!!

Playing Lampard was a mistake, making him captain wasn't. Lampard is the club vice captain and therefore when he plays and JT doesn't he should be captain.

Personally I don't think he is captain material and therefore I wouldn't have him as vice captain however that is a bigger decision that has to be made and one that Jose got wrong and Grant needs to have the balls to put right (although that decision will not be necessary if Lamps leaves at the end of the season). Whilst he is vice captain he is entitles to wear the armband when JT is absent and taking it away from him withou taking away the vice captain role would be very weak management.
