Posted May 5, 200817 yr If we do win today or next week, and we dont go on to win the Prem, we will set the record for the highest points total for a team finishing 2nd in the league, which stands at 83 points. So lets smash that record and push it up to 87 points.

May 5, 200817 yr To do that, we need to put a stop to Newcastle's record against us at their place in the Premiership. Just saw a stat that we haven't won there in the Premiership since 2001.

Hmmm...of course. The season when they had to beat Liverpool by two goals in the final match of the season. Just checked a site that has the league table from that season and it says that Liverpool and Arsenal were equal on points and their goal difference was the same(+37), but Arsenal had more goals scored.
