Terrible shame, thought go out to his family! - although it doesn't actuall say the boy who died supported Chelsea.

Is it ? - re-read the headline, it says Chelsea fans caught up in a storm where a pseron dies, at no point in the article does it say the person who died supported Chelsea

not that it matters, but he was a local...a guy working in my hotel said it happened near him and the boy was from the area...still sad and a reminder of just how fragile we are

Totti dedicates victory to boy killed in storm

I saw a heartfelt story from Rome the other day, that came after AS Roma's 3-1 win over Chelsea in Champions League action.

Following the contest, Francesco Totti dedicated the victory to a boy called Niccolo, who was tragically killed just hours prior to the Chelsea match, after a tree that uprooted made contact with him during a severe storm in Rome.

Niccolo, just 13 years old, was a big Roma fan and the team learned of his untimely death after the match.

Superstar athletes are either criticized or seen as heroes, so it's nice to see the human side every now and then.
