Posted November 29, 200816 yr Tickets for the West Brom game go on sale on Monday, but before I spend the £45 odd, can someone tell me what travel is like on Boxing day? I know we played Villa at home last year, but this would be my first festive match and I don't want to spend the money, only for it be near impossible for me to get there. I usually get the train to either Victoria or Charing Cross, then depending if the district line is f*cked, (i.e. signal failure Earls Court) I either get the underground to FB or the bus. My Boxing Day is usually spent visiting family, so public transport on this day is new to me...! We've booked to go see family again this year and I'd much rather be at the Bridge, so any advice/information greatly appreciated. Thanks.
November 30, 200816 yr I have been to a couple of matches on boxing day, i go to Wimbledon Station and then up to the ground. For me getting to wimbledon is a hassle as the station near me always closes but from a major station you should be fine getting to the ground. From Wimbledon i am fine. i am sure someone will be able to give u a better insight but that is the best i can do. watching chelsea is the best thing you can do on boxing day, get them tickets man!!!
November 30, 200816 yr Gem You shouldn't have any problems at all. The district line should be running as normal - maybe a few less trains but nothing so dramatic a to stop you getting to the stadium.
