The headhunters?
Used to do all my drinking at the Elephant...The Pineapple, Gibralter etc, and Old Kent Rd....but back to what you said, it was just being young, makes you foolish, I cringe at some of the views I had back then, I used to read the Daily Mail, so it just shows how daft I was !!...sh*t result today, when should we start calling for Jose out ??

The headhunters?
hi mate....maybe it didn't come out right, what it was supposed to mean was yes, we were racist, the fact that a few blacks were also with us doesn't make it less so...my comm was in reply to someone who pointed out the black leaders at other firms, so questioned the whole thing about racism....as for racism being used by the hierarchy, I sort of agree, but in our case it came from being Londoners who didn't like the black influx into our areas, simple as that..Face it, some of us still hate northerners, scousers and y*ds.....not nice, and probably shouldn't go on, it's the tribal nature of the white working class

The headhunters?
that's true enough mate....but it doesn't mean the fans weren't racist, ...those black leaders were regarded us ''one of us'' and exceptions made for them, plus they could handle themselves !!...I went with a black mate in the 70's who had to listen to a stream of racist abuse from behind us in the west stand until we had a go at em.,,,,only got to look at the affiliations of some of the old headhunters to right wing organisations to know the truth about racism at Chelsea

Newcastle v Chelsea (PL) 02/11/13 KO 12:45 GMT
Surely Eto'o's bizarre lop sided running style is going to baffle defenders ?...maybe not......not a good day, but we'll come back I'm sure, no need for everyone to get suicidal, it's Chelsea after all, we shoulda got used to days like this by now.

The headhunters?
that's true about the 80's, remember the abuse Canonville used to get from us....but that side of football is finished now...I hear rumours of it going off sometimes, not sure how much truth there is in any of it, and it's a mugs game....look at Marinner on YT v. Cardiff, getting kicked in the bollocks and doing 3 years for it !!

Our New Stadium
I thought it was a done deal ?....last proposed move I saw suggested was to Lille Bridge, just to the north of us...It's a train yard, big site too...There used to be a stadium there at one time, but got destroyed in a riot !!!...Battersea would have been ideal though

Away Support Chelsea
excellent comments mate,,,,always thought a new stadium would bring in just more day trippers anyway...wasn't at Arsenal other night but great to hear about so many youngsters being there, if you ever sit in West upper at the bridge, people with cameras seem to be in majority, waiting to be entertained

Tales of games in the DAY when you exp the shed being taken
I bet the shops couldn't believe how many youngsters had started doing the laundry !!. As for DH, we were bottled from an overpass at Brum....DH shouted ''I want ten men'' and raced up the stairs after the Brum, about two Chelsea followed him.....f**king hell, did he bollock the rest of us all the way home !!

Tales of games in the DAY when you exp the shed being taken

Tales of games in the DAY when you exp the shed being taken
cheers mate, yeah they were great times , all part of our growing up years, mickey Greenaway used to wear a suit to games, that's why he looked even older than he probably was !!

Tales of games in the DAY when you exp the shed being taken
Went away to West Ham in 1966, first game after world cup, there were still no ''ends'', I stood on north bank, Chelsea's mob (about 100 ) stood on halfway, opp the chicken run, all terracing..They .also stood halfway at Arsenal...The ''ends'' happened quickly after that season, was at Spurs year after the cup final loss when it all kicked off behind the goal and the game briefly stopped. But we were just boys really, I was 15, most of us about the same age, Greenaway seemed ancient, as did a guy called ''jesus'' who used to go. Harkins (Eccles) always seemed older, but was a natural leader..Arsenal and West Ham were fearsome , all proper blokes compared to us. We hardly used to turn up at West Ham. One year at Arsenal Greenaway had the brilliant idea of taking us right to the back of the North Bank, where it was f**king dark and we were sh*t scared all game !! Could never understand how Eccles has never written a book on the subject, he could miss it the bit about collecting money for ''fines'' on away trains !!

The headhunters?
Back in the day I was grateful that we had a tasty mob, going away was a nightmare as soon as you got off the train and it was handy to have the safety of numbers. As for the Headhunters programme, they came across as plain nasty f**kers who got taken for a ride by an Irishman, how the hell they didn't sense the set up is beyond me. Who would give a lift to strangers up to Leicester and not go to the game ?,,,the tatoo and Donal's obvious ignorance of the club should have rung alarm bells, still they did big time for shooting their gobs off to him,

In the sixties both liverpool and everton used to stand in the shed next to us with a couple of old bill in between. United used to take the whole end by getting in really early and sheer numbers, we used to have to stand under the old north stand. Remember west ham and arsenal being just to our left, leaving early thru the bovril entrance and then coming back up the shed steps and taking the shed, ..the old days.huh ?
