Yeah, very good result against Southampton. Surprised Essian started, and still a puzzle to me why we can't seem to make chances for Torres, the poor sod has to run his bollocks off to try and make something happen. But still gotta pleased with the result.

According to Guardian today he asked for a transfer, Jose wanted him to stay and fight for his place. The loan deal looks like a compromise. Don't really blame the boy, it's a world cup year so he needs to be playing. Would have had him over Eto any day.

Was at our game in Tromso years ago. Had to get a plane from Bergan that stopped everywhere on the way like a commuter train and had to be de-iced every time. Got tickets from their ground, which were kept in a box on counter, Chelsea boys were trying to nick them...fell over the place outside afterwards because of the snow much to the amusement of the locals !

Someone said that JM made Joe Cole a great player. I'm afraid I disagree, I think José stifled Joe's creativity and made him just another average midfielder.....But it worked for Jose because Joe slotted into the system Jose demanded. I'd back JM over any other manager.

Gotta admit, I know nothing about tactics etc. I just watch the ball during the game. The only thing I'd like to say is that we play with no pace or tempo and every attack is laborious and predictable. And personally I never rated Mata in his first season with us, he was anonymous in too many games. Let's see how react on Sunday, if we lose that and play crap then we have problems.
