This summer as far as contracts are concerned, CFC strike force will consist of Torres, Ba, Lukaku and Piazon. Is it possible to challenge on all fronts and compete for titles with this strike force? And if not, who do you realistically see complimenting these players and the team at large... Personally I'd love to see Lukaku given the chance to lead from the front. Hazard and Lukaku are countrymen and could make for a dangerous connection for our opponents next season. If Belgium do well in the WC they will have something to build on and JM would be fully aware of that. Worse case we go in the market late August to add to the lads up front.

Why would we want bayerns scrap leftovers after lewadowski shows up. Ballo wouldn't leave ac Milan apart from the fact they are not qualifying for champions league football...so he's up for grabs and a better striker than Mandy.

He's just about to peak and JM could be the one to get the best out of him. My point earlier about the differences in the "problem" dept was that admittedly Mario does stupid things off the pitch, whilst saurez does stupid things on the pitch! We need a striker with world class striking abilities. Mario has the kind of shooting skills to score brilliant goals single handedly. Torres and co haven't got that in their locker.

If you weren't a chelsea fan, one might have thought that same way about Torres when be was on his way out of Liverpool...Mario hasn't bit anyone on the pitch and only of late has he missed his first pk. Just think people are quick to judge players. Saurez would be great but he is more of a risk than Mario IMO

I would sell Oscar in a deal for cavani. Or possibly even straight cash. If we offload mikel as well that should leave room for a pogba trade.

If anything he's a bit of both Rambo and Oscar. But because of his size he's better IMO. Yes Oscar was very good last year and at the beginning of this season, but if I'm not mistaken pogba and him are about the same age...pogba looks like someone for the long-term project under JM

As noted previously, ideally both can stay and challenge for the starting job. That sort of competition can spur both of them on to better careers personally and and ultimately for CFC. However JM might have other plans for cech and would consider using him as transfer weight. JM did see quite a bit of courtois whilst with real so I'm sure he has a pretty good handle on his status. This is certainly setting up to be an eventful summer!

In years past, almost a decade now, sizing for manufactures of jerseys took their que from the public fit. Now a days it's the other way around- players get an athletic fit per size and provide more options for a size s or m jersey to be worn bigger. Beginning of the season Torres was probably wearing xl and fit it well-he did start to get in form actually after he starting wearing maybe the xxl kit ala his baggier look for Liverpool. Long story short I'm almost 6'5" and buy xl but should get the xxl for the roomier feel

Possibly people are quick to forget that Eto is a established winner. His CV speaks volumes. Torres has some credit and big goals in big games but the same could be said about Ivanovic... Eto was no doubt the safest option to bring in to the squad but was only meant to be a stop-gap measure for this season. We will be in the market and next season we will have a completely different strike force

Agree. Mario Lukaku would be a great strike force: finesse and strength Not to beat a dead horse, athleti are building a team around costa. Cavani is too much of a team player and knows his starting role up front (when ibra leaves) is his any day now. No way even if saurez and co miss out on cl football would they let another striker leave to cfc ie. Torres. speaking of- If we have given Torres this long we could at least give lukaku two full seasons in the first team. If we add balotelli or another striker of the like, romelu will develop under JM. Look at how much better of a player hazard, Iva, JT, Dave have become under his guidance. If that were to apply to them surely it would to Mario Lukaku! ;{D
