Nobody in this game was! Why does CHO get a free pass?

I support your opinion. How does CHO get a free pass into the starting XI and can avoid criticism when he plays like garbage, but Pulisic doesn't? I'd argue that Pulisic should have more leniency because he is coming into a new league.

REALLY?!?! He was completely run over from behind. It should have been a foul as the Burnley player had to go through him to get the ball.

So I guess you can just run through a player and that is not a foul. I've played this game for almost 30 years and I apparently have no idea what a foul is anymore.

Why not? Shouldn't the club be trying to build and develop a team for the next 10 years? We're not going to win the EPL this season, we won't win the CL this season, why not rotate players? Fine, if CHO, Willian and Mount are all in form, start them game in and game out in the EPL, but then utilize a player like Pulisic for CL matches. He wasn't even on the bench for Lille! Pulisic supporters aren't mad that he isn't starting ahead of certain players, we're upset that he is not even on the bench, and when he is is only seeing the pitch in the dying minutes of the game. Unlike other countries, the USMNT is struggling hard, we need our best player getting actual game time at his club so it translates to his national team game. You all should feel fortunate not to have to experience a situation like this.

You English folk need stop acting as if he is inferior. You'll act like CHO, RLC and Mount are the next coming of Christ. Seriously, I've been a Chelsea fan since 2005 (sorry, not as long as you have), and your disrespect and non-support for a Chelsea player is making me lose a lot of respect for this forum. Why not give him a run of games? We're not honestly challenging for a top 4 spot, what is it going to hurt to start him 3-4 games in a row to get some EPL legs under him?

Yeah because missing 1v1 sitters with the GK is deserving of automatic admission into the starting XI. I honestly wish CHO and Pulisic would rotate. Play one in one game, the next in another. We're in a tough spot though having lots of good options in AM and not enough spots in the XI. I almost would like to see us start using a back 3 with Tomori, Rudiger and James to give us an extra spot in midfield or the attach, especially once RLC comes back.

WHY!!! What did CHO do to deserve a first team spot? Stop with your English bias! Don't mistake our EL win because of CHOs play... I'm only making a point that Pedro, Willian and Barkley are keeping young talented players out of the XI. How many times last year did one of those keep CHO out of the first XI I want to know what CHO has shown in match level that Pulisic hasn't.

He played like garbage, as did the entire English team. Trippier, Maguire, Sancho, Sterling....ALL RUBBISH. English players outside of Kane are so overrated.

Frank not playing him is hurting his game. He looked rusty and off today in a very dominate USMNT. His PK was cool and collected and he obviously learned from giving Sargent the PK previously. I can respect Frank seeing things in training that are "off" but let's be realistic, training is not game time and cannot be compared. Why does CHO get a free pass into the 11 and Pulisic who has played at a higher level doesn't.

Both of those plays you mentioned involved the best defensive midfielder in the world. That's some rubbish reasons why Pulisic isn't getting any playing time. If that is what Frank is seeing and causing him to keep him out of even the bench, then I honestly don't trust Frank to manage this team any longer than a custodial situation.

I just don't think Frank rates him, which is a shame. Pulisic came up through one of the best developmental clubs in the world in Dortmund, but the fact that Frank is playing Mount out of position and still using Willian and Pedro (even though he has infused youth all over the rest of the pitch), is a huge tell for me. It makes me frustrated because this is only going to retard Pulisic's game for the USMNT. I think he needs to be loaned back to the Bundesliga in January. We won't get what we paid for him if he isn't getting any playing time.

Give Mount a rest and play Pulisic. Other than that who knows who Lamps is going to pick.

As I mentioned in the Pulisic thread, I was actually annoyed at how much Barkley injected himself into the game when you have the likes of CHO / Pulisic and Gilmour in the match.

I feel like Barkley was all over the field and interrupted much of the space that Pulisic likes to occupy. A perfect example is the low cross in the 41st minute (right before the PK) that Barkley disrupted while Pulisic was sitting pretty back post. Must you all forget, it was his great 1-2 ball that led to Bats goal in the 1st half....that he himself would have had a crack at if Bats didn't turn and take it with his left foot.

He had some good movement and orchestrated some nice attacks last night against Mexico. The ref did not do him any favors though because several times he was absolutely destroyed and no foul was given.

What we really need is not a transfer ban. I also don't know (based on your comment) if you are rating CHO higher than Pulisic, but I would argue that Pulisic has more experience, which often translate to better on field performance, than CHO.
