I know. If you have followed this thread for the past couple of weeks you might have noticed that I have been one of the biggest supporters of Pogba. But if Juventus can potentially get a deal done for Witsel, why couldn't we have?

Didn't we supposedly agree to person terms with Witsel but couldn't make a deal with ZSP? You would think with out Russian connection, Roman and Maria would have been able to get a deal done. I REALLY want Pogba but if we can get Witsel and keep Ramires (then hopefully offload Mikel) isn't that better for our team?

We've apparently already bid for Koke earlier in the window and HE turned us down. We're not getting him.

Something about Ramires not even being on the bench today makes me think something is definitely up. I also think us loaning Cuadrado to them (something we have been hesitant to do so far) might have been us trying to appease them into selling Pogba to us. Obviously I am one of the people who has extremely high praise for Pogba and feel like him on this team will only help make him the player he can be. He will shine under Mourinho.

Talk about people on here overhyping Stones, you guys are severely overhyping Oscar. Yes when he is in form he is truly magnificent to watch, but how often has that been since we signed him. All of us thought this would be his year since he had a full summer off but now he is "injured". On top of that where would you play him now that we have Pedro? The same people who praise Willian for his tireless work rate are the same people who praise Oscar for his " talent". Unfortunately you cannot have them both playing unless you drop Matic, Fabregas, Hazard or Pedro. Then if Pogba does come in that is one more person that you would have to drop for somebody like Oscar or Willian to crack the starting XI. Pogba is significantly better than Oscar is and that isn't just my opinion. There is a reason he is being linked with Barcelona and PSG.

Okay so Oscar + Cuadrado + Cash. You have Ramires and Mikel for cover and can still use Fabregas in a pinch. I don't think we will get him if Oscar isn't included.

Oscar hasn't really proven anything to warrant 30 million. If Oscar and Ramires are worth a combined 50 million than Pogba is worth 100 million in that same sense. Juventus will want Ramires or Oscar, we aren't keeping both and both are expendable. You want to get the big fish you gotta use high end bait.

Sterling or De Brunye aren't even in the same solar system as Pogba is in terms of talent. Pogba is a top 10 player in the world. If Juventus wants Oscar, Ramires, Cuadrado and Cash for him you do it. A Matic / Pogba DM pairing would be unstoppable for the next 5+ years.Getting Pogba pushes Fabregas up to his more preferred position with Willian backing him up. I think you are right, but I also think there is a little more more to this fire than just some smoke. There is no doubt that we, along with every other club on the planet, are interested in Pogba, there is also no doubt that we have the pieces that Juventus might want (Oscar, Ramires, Cuadrado + the Cash) in exchange for Pogba. If he goes anywhere in this transfer window, it will almost certainly be to us. On a side note if we were to have a window of: Begovic, Falcao, Baba, Pedro, Stones, Pogba (or even Witsel) that might be the best window any one team has ever had.
