we made lots of mistakes but you just can't be churlish when you get this result. And really I see a lot of growth in the performances.

Great game. Result never in doubt. We had em fooled for a while with our cunning plan to make them over confident.

So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!
Why is it arrogant to believe in the project? “Arrogance the quality of being unpleasantly proud and behaving as if you are more important than or know ,ore than other people”. I think the project with less injuries and the right manager can work. I’ve always thought that and I still do. But the evidence is against me.

As usual I’m the odd one out. Looking forward to the game and a chance to start evening the scores. No team I want to beat more than United. Never forget hazard running away at the bridge and scoring a fantastic goal, or earlier when Mourinho was there us being awarded a super dubious penalty for arm stuck out near the touch line. We will get opportunities and so will they.

My bet is nagelsmann does a good job with Germany. Wish we;d gone with him. Poch has been unlucky with the defensive injuries, particularly Colwill.

I do think Sterling would have been a far better sub than madueke with mudryck moved to the 10, where he should have started.

Personally thought other than his goal,Palmer was as average as anyone else today. What a sh** show today. Gallagher isn’t a proper 10. Not that it made any difference but madueke was the wrong sub.

Sterling is good and is experienced. He may be past his peak and his confidence is way down, partly I think because he must feel the bitterness Chelsea fans seem to hold towards him Uniquely I don’t want any more experienced players, I would like one more young talented forward to do the job nkunku was supposed to do and if Fofana never recovers, as seems likely, then another young centre back. I look forward to the day when this band of brothers win the league. I think they are good enough.

Everyone wants more senior players and simultaneously wants to get rid of Sterling. Fans are weird.

It somehow fell apart in Mourinho second spell even though we won. We sold salah and de bruyne and what’s his name the talent spotter who is now running Saudi football left. I don’t think we could have ever done what city has, maybe if Ancelotti had stayed it might be different, but Mourinho had to go the first time.

I think this is sort of true, but not the whole truth, otherwise you wouldn't need a manager at all. To an extent I think of the manager as the 12th player and non playing captain and as such the manager quality matters just like it matters for any other player. Some players are dropped from the team every season and new ones bought in every season. And as lots of people have noted the average tenure of a manager is less than the average tenure of a player. Leadership and management do make a difference. History proves it

Speaking of Real, I have always admired Vincentte del bosque. Not the only way to manage a team but he did it so well. https://www.flashscore.com/news/soccer-laliga-exclusive-vicente-del-bosque-explains-the-keys-to-his-success-with-real-madrid-and-spain/h2ATgHk4/

I have my doubts that chukwumeka is fit.

No one is suggesting the squad is at peak age. If they were Poch would even more obviously be doing poorly. The question is whether the squad at this age would do better with a different coach nor can we compare either the coach or the squad based on last year because they are both different And we won’t know whether it’s the players or the coach that is underperforming or both or neither until one or the other is changed. My opinion is the squad has more to offer than Poch has been able to get out of them.

Hope springs eternal. There is no chance of that happening. zero. First there would be a finding, then an appeal etc. In any event we cant be scared of city.

Would like to see Chucky start but have to see what happens in the break. Lavia might be ready for a few minutes by then and Baddy and Colwill quite likely. Think Sterling still has a whole lot to offer although I'm first to agree that didn't seem so last outing.

Carney Chukwuemeka
Not to mention Ballack who didn’t really. Ramires had that incredible pace for a midfielder. Enzo does have a good passing game. We don’t really know how good carney is but he certainly seems to like getting into the opposition penalty area. I’m keen to see more of him.
-
Carney Chukwuemeka
He is not a presser any more than Mudryck is, but he makes things happen when we are in possession. Lampard didn't press much either as I recall.
-
Carney Chukwuemeka
Add Lavia into the mix and it gets very competitive in that midfield. If Carney stays fit he is almost certain to be a nailed on starter. So Enzo Caicedo Chuwumeka, or Caiceo Enzo Chukwumeka And you could also imagine next season Caicedo Lavia Chukwumeka There are starting to be a few possibities if the lads stay fit. We haven't seen enough of Chukwumeka to be sure but my feeling has always been he is the real deal.

Leicesters recent form is poor. Personally I am really looking forward to this game the last before the international break.

Actually is Enzo suspended? If so Carney gets his spot in my team.
