Cech's coach has moved around with him since his rennes days. Courtois has already recomended Chelsea hire his old coach from Genk. Seems that keepers like to keep their coaches with them.

The club should disconnect from this whole loyalty and club legend thing as well and make him sit the bench for another year. After all the club can walk the league for another year "without any disruption" to their newly formed young squad as well. The club should do what is best for them, if Cech is acting selfish then the club should too. And dont get me wrong, I dont have any emotional attachment for club players. It wouldnt set me off one bit if Cech went of to play for spurs, hell I even wont care if he played for fecking milwall and kissed their badge. Arsenal have a very real chance of hurting us when it comes to trophies next season. The club should be ruthless and cut off any move unless they gove us a good player.

I do not really understand what this fuss is about having home grown squad players is coming from. Its a totally pointless thing to worry about We were fine with the HG quotas last season, and with Drog, Cech, Mikel and possibly Cuadrado leaving we have atleast 4 non-HG spots available. I think we should look for the best goalkeeper willing to sit on the bench regardless of HG status. The dream would be to get Begovic or Forster, both are HG. Although, both are unlikely to accept being backup as it would hurt their chances of selection for the euro 2016. To be totally honest, I wouldnt mind szczeny as a backup either. I had the misfortune of being invited to watch a few fulham games this season by a business assoc. Thankfully they lost all but one of the games I went to. Bettinelli is quite poor, his shot stopping is good but his decision making and positioning is soo poor that it was hilarious at times. He was lobbed atleast once in each game I saw, and once got a straight red in first 15 mins.

Regardless of the workpermit, I'd rather seem him lead the line for vitesse than be a back up at Chelsea next season. Vitesse are in the europa league as well. He should easily have a 30+ goal season and force his way straight into our first team. If he has a work permit now, it will last for 2-3 seasons atleast so he can come back next season.

arsenal are 3 players away from a real title challenge, a CF, a CM and a GK. They will likely get martinez and schniderlin, surely Granovskia and Emenalo can not be stupid enough to hand them over the last piece of the puzzle. If Cech really wants to go to arsenal then we should get someone to weaken them slightly, chamberalin or walcott as Jose suggests will be perfect. Although that said, I still thing any full strength Jose squad will still beat any full strength wenger squad over 38 games. So not really worried for the league but those cnuts can still hurt us in the cups with Cech in their goal.

I have to say that I am thoroughly underwhelmed by the names going around. Imagine having to field a team with rob green at barcelona or madrid away. Does anyone else find these names underwhelming? especially looking at the number 2 keepers at other top clubs - Ter stegen (Barca), Navas (Madrid), Reina (Bayern), Valdes (United). We will end up going from the team with the best backup keeper to the one with the worst backup keeper. Needless to say it will be a huge step backwards.

The new workpermit rules are good for the development of english players. If a player like Weah was coming to England, surely it will be for more than £10m transfer fee.

Apparently around 70% of SB staff will have to be let go if we moved to tiwckers or wembley. Also, at both those locations the club will have to operate at a reduced capacity of about 50k.
