Jose Mourinho thread
Hello everyone, I haven't posted for a while - hope you are all well. I won't lie, I am absolutely made up with this appointment. Mourinho is the man that should have taken over from Fergie. He is a winner. He knows the league and he knows how to win in Europe. He's not a particularly nice person but neither was Fergie. He's a c**t but he will be OUT c**t, as they say. We need a winning mentality to be installed in the club again. We need people to hate us again. We need to make Old Trafford a fortress again. Hopefully, Jose will achieve all of these things. I am not so stupid to think that we'll go on and win everything because I don't think that we will. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City and Spurs will all have a say. Also teams like Leicester and West Ham will want to challenge with the new tv money being thrown around. The reality is, we need to start thinking about finishing in the top 4 again before trophies. Although obviously I am made up with our FA Cup win on Saturday, it was a great day. I am so happy. I've been frustrated with Van Gaal. I like him as a man but not as a football manager. His tactics are dated and he treats players exactly the same as he did 20 years ago. Which isn't feasible in the modern game. Jose fuc*ing Mourinho. He will help us attract better players for a start and hopefully De Gea will stay. I think he'll stay for 3 years before heading off for a challenge elsewhere but who knows. One thing he'll get at United which he didn't get elsewhere is total control. Our owners don't get involved with footballing matters, they just ask for a list of players and attempt to go out and purchase them. I think Mourinho was the only option and most United fans I know are very excited by the prospect of seeing him in the Old Trafford dugout. Next season is going to be so interesting.

Who should be next "long-term" Chelsea manager?
It's the same with every big English club mate. Stories about Chelsea, Man Utd etc are good for business. You have to worry when people STOP talking about you because it then means you're irrelevent.

Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager
I like Conte but he's a huge punt. Obviously appointing ANY manager comes with risk (look at the mess we're in under Van Loony for example.) But my issue would be is that most manager's can win the league with Juventus as the opposition is so weak. I've had fellow United supporters tell me they'd want Blanc as manager next season and I disagree with them. I could manage PSG and win the league in France. I'm not saying Conte is a bad manager, he's obviously a very good tactician. But he'd be a far bigger risk than appointing someone like Hiddink full time, or trying to prize Pochettino away from Spurs (my favourite manager in the league, I think he's destined for big things.) I actually think Hiddink deserves a few transfer windows and time to bring in his own players and own ideas. I like him, think he's a very good manager.

PSG vs. Chelsea (CL) 16/02/16 KO: 19:45 BST
Unlucky lads, only caught the end but seemed a decent game. Can't stand those c**ts either. You should give them a game at Stamford Bridge.

We still need a lot of transfer activity.Outs: Carrick, Rooney, Jones or Rojo, Valencia, Young, Mata (maybe), Fellaini Ins: A creative CM, a number 10, a striker, a winger, a CB.

Name a manager apart from Wenger and Fergie that stays at a club longer than 3 years, building new squads and winning titles time and time again? They don't exist. Modern football is about having a good structure in place, not a manager who will stay for 20+ years.

Hiddink isn't exactly getting much out of the current squad either. Mourinho isn't perfect but there is something wrong at Chelsea behind the scenes IMO. Or the players aren't as good as we all think and Mourinho got them playing much better than they actually are - exactly what Fergie did with some of our squads time and time again.

That's right, blame the guy who won you 3 league titles and countless cups. The guy who made Chelsea a household name all over the world. The bloke who left behind a team that even Avram Grant managed to get to a CL final (where is he now?), he left behind a spine that won you the CL (where is Di Matteo now?) Don't get angry with Jose just because he might join Man Utd. You lot sacked him TWICE. What's he supposed to do, never take a job in England again? It's not like he is taking over Spurs or Arsenal.

Is that the pathetic owner who has injected millions of his own money into your club? Fancy swapping with our leaches of owners?

If I could choose 2 realistic candidates to manage Utd it would be 1. Mourinho 2. Pochettino. I am so excited by this news. Even if we get him for just 3 seasons, it will be longer than Moyes and Van Gaal have had He is one of the best manager's in the world. His CV is exceptional. Please happen!

Where will the big (and small) managers be next season?
Man Utd fans are split on Mourinho and always have been. Half of our fanbase kiss his arse whilst the other 50% loathe him and don't want him near the job. I have always admired him. IF we land him and give him a bit of time, we will win trophies. Our current squad needs adding to and we will buy players to replace Rooney, Carrick and a new winger this summer. He won the league with your side last season remember - looking at them now, apart from Hazard - it's not the best title winning side or even Chelsea side on paper. But Mourinho worked his magic.

The club is in disarray and that's down to Roman.
The manager can only do so much. A team will always need good players to succeed. You will all hate me for saying this but Terry leaving in the summer is great news for Chelsea. You will be able to evolve now - player power is too big at Chelsea with Terry pulling the strings.

I want winning football. Style over substance isn't good for anyone - see Arsenal.

Can I have Saturday's lotto results as well please mate?

Chelsea are a very healthy club and will be fine long term. There is no God given right to be at the top all of the time, football is cyclical.

A bloke I know who works at United reckons Mourinho is already a done thing and he is already preparing a list of signings to bring in. Make of that what you will.

MK Dons vs Chelsea
Kenedy is going to be a class act.

MK Dons vs Chelsea
Agree. I would still like to see Mata, Rooney and Jones to be sold in the summer to be replaced by Barkley, Benzema and Stones though. Mata is a Silva-lite.

MK Dons vs Chelsea
Oscar with a stunner!

MK Dons vs Chelsea
He needs to grow a pair then. Our Ronaldo put up with it and did well in England. I really like Hazard the player but he does have such an arrogant, punchable face.
-
MK Dons vs Chelsea
To be honest, most of our players look sh*te under Van Looney and his tactics.
-
MK Dons vs Chelsea
Not a chance! Only one love for me mate. But like I said earlier, I like all the big boys in the next round like West Ham, United, Arsenal etc. Will get some exciting matches. Fed up with Shrewsbury v Spurs etc. The gulf in class is too vast these days and the games are predictable.
-
MK Dons vs Chelsea
He is sh*te. No pace, no power, disappears for long periods nearly every game. He smells nice though.
-
MK Dons vs Chelsea
I want all the Premier League sides in the next round - makes the matches far more interesting.

MK Dons vs Chelsea
I like Oscar. Good little player, far better than Mata (Mourinho was right on that one)
