José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
He actually said after the third season, so the fourth: “I believe things often come in three-year cycles (and) we had arrived at the end of such a cycle.“By the start of the fourth (season) that Jose had been in charge, I think we had started to reach a point where it was sometimes harder for his message to get through. “We wanted to hear it, we tried, but somehow we had lost a little bit of what made us special.”Drogba said: “One of his many qualities is that he brings a winning mentality to all the teams he manages. Once you know how to do it, you never forget, it stays with you for ever. And that is what he does with his players, at whichever club he is at “The majority of coaches when they arrive at a new club, they will say, “I’ll try to win but it will be difficult.’ Jose says, ‘I’m here to win.’ "That rubs off on his players.”http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/chelsea-hero-didier-drogba-hints-6820618

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
haha Mutu had massive problems with Jose Mourinho already back then, of course this snake is going to bite him now Jose is in trouble. quoting Wiki: In the 2004–05 season, Mutu had a difficult relationship with the club's new manager José Mourinho, with each accusing the other of lying about whether the player was injured for a 2006 World Cup qualifying match against the Czech Republic.[11] In September 2004, he failed a drugs test for cocaine and was released on 29 October 2004. He also received a seven-month ban and a £20,000 fine from the FA. The ban ended on 18 May 2005. Just a cheap way to get revenge, nothing else.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
That is because of 2 main reasons: 1. He wanted to win the 3 biggest leagues first: Italy, England and Spain. 2. He was never asked to do a long term job before: - At Porto he won the Champions League, after that, he was ready for the next step. - At Chelsea he was brought to bring immediate success with a big budget Roman and he delivered. - At Inter he overachieved winning the treble, after that he decided to leave to complete his dream: winning all 3 leagues in Spain, England and Italy so he joined Madrid. - At Madrid he was asked to do 2 things: 1) End the Barcelona dominance which he succeeded to do and 2) Win the La Decima which he failed to do but he brought them back in the semifinals 3 years in a row with 1 very close: losing on penalties vs Munchen. Before that, Madrid were eliminated in the last 16/8 for many consecutive years. Now only for the first time in his career, which he admitted himself, he is ready to take a long term job and is also asked to to a long term job.

Chelsea vs. Porto (CL) 09/12/15 KO: 19:45 BST
On the Remy situation: this is what Shearer and Mariner said: 'It's an absolute certain penalty,' said Shearer. 'He's impeded him. There's no contact, but Remy doesn't have to jump over him. He jumps over him because otherwise he's getting brought down. Mariner: ''Remy should've gone down for penalty'' If it indeed was a penalty is 50-50, but everyone agreed that Remy was too honest, if he went down it was a 100% penalty. On Falcao:I expected more from him but his header was world class, do you want him to stay or go in January?

Chelsea vs. Porto (CL) 09/12/15 KO: 19:45 BST
Haha I know Ramires is clumsy on the ball but you're right, he always gives his all for the club. In this kind of games I trust him, a big game. We seldom lose a big game when Ramires starts. He should just do his job, recover the ball - and pass immediately, and run to the box to score some worldy tonight - his specialty. On the strikers: He's right to be unhappy with Diego, he was the last player to be dropped, even JT-Matic-Cesc-Hazard were dropped before him. But unhappy about Loic is a bit unfair for me, he hasn't been given many starts this season but still scored a few in the cup games. Also, Falcao was in front of him in the pecking order at the beginning of the season. I think it's simple, Jose doesn't value Remy as a starting striker, same with Demba Ba some years ago. We should just target another top quality striker ASAP to compete with Diego. For tonight, I think Diego will start with Hazard, Willian and Pedro behind him.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Hi mate I was not criticizing you, I'm sorry if it felt like that as I understood from the post I quoted that we share the same thought: Jose is the right man. I was just sharing my thoughts about the board and Roman, I know he gave us a lot but I don't always agree with his way of working in the past 10 years. As you said, Robbie deserved more time and I agree and Carlo also IMO, and especially when Jose was here for the first time. But now we have the best proven manager back at the club, should he really consider sacking him after 15 league games? I really want Roman to change and say: ''let's forget this season, you get my backings as you're the best I've had, let's finish this season strong and rebuild in the summer.'' But it doesn't feel like that, Jose doesn't represent a man in his press conferences that has been backed by the board/owner, yesterday he said:'' I don't think the owner will go with the wind''. Backing him in October and sacking him in December is no backing, that's just an excuse to have to show the fans he's been ''backed''. Klopp said of his last season: "But things like this happen. I had a similar situation in Dortmund and the good thing was no one in the club was in doubt about my position. Nobody."I never felt pressure. So we were able to change the situation." I mean how can you work at 100% if your mind isn't clear, how can you work at 100% if you can lose your job anytime? Let alone building a dynasty and being a great long term manager.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
How can you be a long term manager if you're facing the sack after you've won the double LAST season? I honestly hope the reports are fake that he's facing a game of death because I think it's utter foolish to consider sacking a proven manager that has won 8 trophies for you, who lead the league from day one, won the league with 13 points difference (with 3 games left), broke a record with only losing 4 games in all competitions in total, LAST season. I hope so mate, the 14th position is not fine I know, but we are the current champions and things can still turn in December if we manage to qualify for last 16. Any manager can have an off season, especially if you're not being backed by the board in the summer, and especially if you never had a total off season in 13 years. (never finished outside the top 2 barring 2013-14 with us where we lost the league thanks to Mike Dean in game week 35)

Pfff I'd already be happy if we had a midfielder who could score 50% of Lampard's goals per season.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Exactly, many things are taken for granted. He put Azpi at LB and what happened? He became the best LB in the league, but MAINLY he revived JT's career like JT was 26 again. When Matic and Mikel were out last year in the cup final, people were scratching their heads but he put Zouma in CDM and we won the league cup vs Spurs 2-0 after getting trashed 5-3 before in the league. Or what about the man marking of Zouma on Fellaini? He was the the biggest weapon of United at that time, but BOOM Mourinho found out how to get him out of the game, and other teams followed us. Everybody thought Jose can't play tiki taka or beautiful football but at the first half of last season we played the most effective and beautiful football at times. He just isn't so stubborn to keep playing the same when the main players of that style are out of form (Cesc, Matic). These are just small examples of his recent time here, he had more out of the box thinking tricks in his career.

Andreas Christensen
Hope he can be the next Courtois, loan him 2 years and call him back to slot straight in our squad as starter or maybe first back up (like Cahill now).

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
It's more about getting top competition for our players that the manager recognizes. Jose values mentality and quality a lot + experience, mentality as working hard and having the fighting spirit. None of our guys currently have that barring Azpi and maybe 1-2 more players, Diego isn't showing that in the right way.Quality speaks for it selves, you have to be good enough to play. Zouma is a kid, if he didn't have the mentality and performances to do so well, he would've been on loan too but he didn't back down when he was given chances in the CL and vs Liverpool and City last season, that's why he's the first CB name on the sheet right now. Loftus Cheek should've had more minutes, but do you have the impression he's using 100% of his energy all the time? I don't have that impression when I watched him, maybe that's the problem for Mourinho. He's so young, normally you have to be the most hard working player if you're so young to compensate for your lack of experience, but he hasn't done that, that's a shame. For me, RLC should try to be a better version of Ramires. attacking mids: - Texeira openly flirted and confirmed that Chelsea is in for him, he also said he's a big admirer of Jose. This transfer can happen for sure. (reported price is around 50M euro's for the Jan window) - Sneijder could join us in January for around 10M euro's, he's already 31 year old but is having a good season and loves to shoot from outside the box and has the right winning mentality plus on field leadership. He would give competition for Cesc and Oscar but is not my preferred option because of his age. midfielders: - Gundogan was available in the summer for cheap, but right now he's rediscovering his form, so will be more expensive. Available for CL and top class. But I'm afraid we're too late, Madrid Barca Liverpool will have an advantage over us. We should try to bid 30M for him. - Wanyama is a great player to look at, and more competitive than Mikel and could also be a great back up for Matic. - Sissoko from Newcastle is another player that could boost our midfield, but he's more like a squad player quality, like Ramires. strikers: - Zlatan can happen in the summer for free. - Aubameyang is on a killing spree right now, scoring for fun, available for CL but won't come for cheaper than 50M pounds I am afraid. - Lacazette could be an option as striker in the January window, Lyon is finished in the CL and won't compete with PSG for the Ligue 1. - Adebayor, Berahino and Vardy are also reported: Adebayor is only to replace Falcao as third striker. Berahino isn't better than Remy, is he? And I don't Vardy will leave in January now Leicester is doing so well. defenders: - Marquinhos isn't happy at PSG, they are rich but maybe we can try something for him, not playable in the CL though. - Stones is doing very well at Everton, the price will be sky high if we want to lure him in January, at least 40m+ pounds. - Another interesting right back is the player from Monaco: Fabinho,

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
@mourad91 Yeah I agree, Jose didn't handle the Luis situation well. He started the season by rotating the three: Luis, Azpi and Ivanovic. Luis was mainly used in the CL group phase and cup competitions and some easy home games in the league. But after the Burnley game, Jose didn't use Luis so much anymore, it was strange to see that, because Burnley was Luis's best game for us. But this season he would've been perfect for us, because unlike last season, Ivanovic isn't scoring so many goals and isn't doing well enough in defense. I really think this has to do with his direct competition: Baba is not Luis. I do understand why he kept Azpi as left back last season, that was to compensate for JT's weaknesses. But now we have Zouma to do that, Luis would've been perfect: Azpi Zouma JT Luis. The only way to comfort ourselves is to say: Luis is already 30 year old and won't be getting any better and Baba is young and has potential. On Remy yes, I also don't really like how little minutes he's getting after last season's performances. Remy had like 9 goals for us, and many crucial goals like vs Stoke and Hull that won us the game. For his career, he should quit and it's also better if we can get a striker who Jose recognizes to compete with Diego Costa, just like how he did with Higuain and Benzema. To have competition is always good, the best example is Willian. When we bought Cuadrado, Willian raised his performances, but the fire power from the front 4 was not enough so we bought Pedro, and after that Willian raised his level again to make sure he doesn't drop out. That's why I hope we can get a player like Gundogan, to kick Cesc's ass. A player like Texeira to kick Hazard's ass for goals, a striker like Lacazette to kick Costa's ass, and a defender at the back to keep everyone sharp. Christiansen is a kid we need to call back in the future but he's enjoying a good development in Germany, and RLC should simply get more minutes too.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Great question but it all depends on details: - is Hazard still motivated here? Or does he want to join possibly his idol Zidane at Madrid in the summer? - who are his replacements? If we can get let's say 2 top class players like Isco and Griezmann/Reus for the Hazard money, don't you want to consider it? And I honestly can't see Jose willing to sell Hazard, he's his star man with little attitude, unlike Ronaldo. My dream is both to stay and create a dynasty together.

Not 6 in total, probably 6 options named for 3 positions. For example, as reported: Marquinhos OR Stones, one of them, not both.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
He needs the winter transfer window to make up for the bad summer window. Jose said in May after we won the league:'' I want to have another defender, a midfielder (and a striker: Falcao) to add fresh blood, this will give competition to the others and motivate them''. But the board failed big time back then, so they owe him a good window. I am not saying not buying players is an excuse for sitting at 14th place, but Jose already saw problems in the squad as Pat Nevin had confirmed (he said Jose wanted to buy 6 players), but the board was just simply complacent, so they should take a share of the blame. The midfield has a big leak: Cesc, Matic isn't overachieving anymore so can't cover for 2 players, or we should just ditch the 4-2-3-1. At the back we can also use another top class starting defender (Luis should never have left). I'd like to add strength in midfield, quality in defense and an attacking player to give us more goals, and if Falcao leaves, bring a better second striker to compete with Diego as Jose doesn't trust Remy enough. It sounds like Jose can only work with money, that might be true, but it's also true that when you give him the players he needs, he guarantees you trophies.

Realistic January targets
We missed out on him and he's exactly what we need, Hazard was even lobbying for a Benteke move. (something like: he's my best mate, I really hope he comes to Chelsea) Too bad the board didn't want to spend.

Exactly, in 5 full seasons with us he won 3 titles. In 12 years he won 8 in total. Let's say this year is an off year but he will learn from it and come back stronger.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Please support our best manager in this tough period. I know the 14th place is embarrassing, and losing at home vs Bournemouth even more. But don't forget, we are the current champions and league cup holders and that's also thanks to Jose. The newspapers, social media, pundits on TV nowadays are really damaging football, they are basically brainwashing and putting pressure on the fans and club people. Why do you have to sack managers after a bad run of games? Why can't you stick with a manager who has proven himself over and over again for 13 years? (8 league titles in Europe, 3 for us) It's the first time in his career that he's facing this kind of season, should we really dump him after all the joy and trophies he's given us? 3 league titles, many cups and semi finals, he left England and came back and won it again in his 2nd season, while Wenger remained empty handed in those years he left. Jose is more than proven as a world class manager, he will come good eventually. Based on what do people think he can't turn this around? He isn't god, we are in a slump, you can't expect everything to be sunny again overnight, it's a process and I could see the process we made in November: 3 clean sheets, 3 wins 1 draw at WHL and 1 defeat at Stoke. Some people completely forgot November and only focus on the last defeat. My personal advice is, look at the bigger picture, don't focus too much on 1 period or 1 game. I really admire the fans who're backing Jose, I hope you guys can do it again Wednesday cause that game is very important. The Porto game is vital for the player's mental recovery and Jose's career at Chelsea. If we fail to qualify, It's pretty much game over for Jose at Chelsea, Roman won't be that tolerant. If we qualify, preferably as group leaders, I really hope Jose can get the board's backing in the winter transfer window because they really let him down this summer.
