yeah...he was great defensively. And made some great runs. Reminded me of those unstoppable runs yaya toure used to make 3 years back. And yeah, he is a great upgrade over Matic aerially. Willian had a poor game by his standards but he did help defensively. Dont forget it was a new role for him. Second striker.

We needed him to counter wanyama and dembele. But I missed those long balls from fabregas. Most of luiz's long passes were wasted today. Why cant we use today's formation with hazard in place of willian and fabregas in place of luiz/kante/bakayoko. I would really like to see how that works out.

You guys are reading too much into those preseason games. I am confident Alonso will be fine when hazard is back. He will get a lot more space to attack. That's what hazard does. Juices out a lot of resources of the opposing team.

Can is one of the best allround players in the PL. He can play as a CB or a CAM. Very good in defense and attack and also in the air.
