I'd take £70m and just spend that on Havertz. Honestly I think he's on the verge of being the next Essien, players of that physical intensify burn out quickly and while I reckon he could prosper in Spain or Italy for a few more years I can't see that with us. Also I agree that I think the team is changing and as strange as it might seem but I think you're right, he doesn't fit in.

Because we have other areas in the team to address because I'd rather see us develop talent than always buy it and because I have a feeling that football suffers when clubs like ours and City simply take all there is to have. Outside of Chelsea winning the league the best season in recent times was Leicester winning it? Why because it was exciting, nobody expected it and it was done with Wes Morgan at centre back. Football is about emotional connection and simply opening our wallet for overvalued player is a weakness. Hazard was a wonderful player and picking him up at the right price made it even better. Vastly overpaying for Torres or Veron was not.
