  1. Can you not remember how bad it was under AVB in 2011 and 2012? In Di Matteo's 2nd game he overturned a 3-1 defeat to Napoli (a good team at the time, who had Lavezzi, Hamsick and Cavani in their primes) to a 4-1 comeback. I'm not saying it's destined to happen, but it wouldn't surprise me if you saw the players do MUCH better, because they're currently playing to about 1/10th of their ability at the moment.

Love this guy, my favourite player in the team, but this is not the Pulisic I remember last season, he looks awful. Time to give him a rest and bench him for a few games, let CHO takeover.
  3. What good attempts did we have on goal until we scored? All I can remember was Mount hitting the bar beforehand then the Giroud offside chance. I can't remember all these chances, but I do remember Werner missing another sitter towards the end. Fulham had two great chances in the first half and failed to capitalise. We've had many games where you can say "If we finished our chances, it would've been about 5-0", but that definitely wasn't one of them. I'm actually concerned with our inability to create chances at the moment, at least when we were missing lots of sitters we were creating chances, now we're hardly creating at all. It's cross, cross, cross, sideways pass, sideways pass, sideways pass.
  4. Avram is obviously not a good manager, and the fact that we're being linked with him again must be a joke. But there's no denying we did well under him at the time, that was mostly down to the personnel that he had, great quality and characters. I would say our best interim was Di Matteo by far, he turned a horrible season into one of our greatest (arguably), nobody could've predicted that at the time. I remember how horrible it was being a fan at the time, we were a laughingstock for other teams. This team right now has much better quality than the one AVB got sacked with, these players can do so much better. That's why I'm confident we can have a really good season if someone was to step in and take advantage of it. I don't think Lampard can, I love Frank, I wanted it to happen I really did, but I always had my doubts due to his lack of experience. And sadly, the managerial game is so much different, good players and club legends don't just translate into great managers just because of that. We've seen it all before, sacking Mourinho for the 2nd time was the end of the world, then when we won the league with Conte it was all great again.
  5. I don't think it's directly two faced but I do think you've backtracked a bit there. You must acknowledge how bad the performances have been now. We haven't put in a good performance since Leeds. It's good that we've won a game while not playing well, but perfomrances often correlate with results, and it's no surprise how bad the results have been over the past two months. You said it yourself on the matchday thread, we could get battered by Leicester playing like that, so surely the negativity on here is understandable? That's not including the kneejerk new accounts that come on and revel in our demise of course.
  6. It's a taboo subject, and I get it, people don't like the idea of sacking a club legend and a manager in his 2nd season. But it's worked well for us 4/5, Hiddink, Avram (I think so), Di Matteo, Benitez. The only time it didn't although you could argue it saved us from a relegation battle was Hiddink part 2. Besides that interim managers have worked well for us in the past.
  7. How long are we going to keep hearing this though? Fulham played against Spurs during the week and a Cup game last weekend same as us. And they looked fresher than us for most of that game, every time Pulisic had the ball they were immediately on to him, we just looked lethargic and slow. Something is not quite right in this side at the moment. We've had more time to prepare against Fulham and did we really look better off? They had 10 men and looked very comfortable for about 30 minutes. Let's not sugar-coat it, this was piss poor, absolutely piss poor, delighted with the 3 points don't get me wrong but I can't let that paper over the cracks, this team is in trouble. It's going to take a miracle for us to turn this around I think, we are devoid of ideas, I'm dreading the Atletico game. This is why I'm not against the idea of sacking Lampard now and getting an interim manager in to salvage the season and see if we can get something out of it, because with the way things are going now I can see this being nothing but a waste of 5 months. And with Lampard’s resume as a manager, I don't see the evidence that he's got what it takes to turn this around, motivate the players or come out of nowhere with a Plan B that will galvanize the players into a strong position or trophy.
  8. Chelsea curse, we've seen it time and time again, strikers come here and turn w**k, it's really weird.
  9. I think that game saved Lampards job. But where do we go from here? Can we really persist with playing like against the likes of Leicester? Something has to change in the way we play, and it's worth giving Callum the nod over Pulisic for the time being. Happy we've won, but I'm not confident against Leicester.
  10. I don't really care, I'm just happy we've won the game. But I'm not happy with the performance and I see nothing in there that gives me hope things are going to change in our upcoming fixtures.
  11. When did I say Jorginho should be playing or should score?
  12. The players aren't performing for the manager, it's obvious. I haven't seen one good performance from any of our players, all of them are playing much worse than to be expected.
  13. May aswell shot Havertz on, can't be any worse at the minute.
  14. Our first bit of good play in the middle, need to see more of that.
  15. Lampard apologists = "Yeah but Spurs drew to Fulham this week"
  16. I think we're still in a dilemma here, was there one good performance in that half? Ziyech looks lost, Pulisic looks the worst I've ever seen him. Giroud can't get any service, the midfield are awful as usual, defence looks shakey. I can't even see any positives here besides Fulham got a player sent off.
  17. Fulham played against Spurs midweek, and now they have to play 45 minutes with 10 men. I don't want to hear one excuse after the game if we can't win this.
  18. Carragher "Hmm seemed harsh" it was at that moment I knew it was a red, and I missed the challenge and saw no replay.
  19. Please, let Rudiger go in the summer. I'm begging you, he's awful.
  20. Fulham have had the best chances of the game. All that possession and f**k all as usual.
  21. Two seasons ago it was CHO who could do no wrong, now it's Lampard and Mount.
