  1. I think Reece has been pretty meh since his injury quite honestly.
  2. Mount, Giroud and Silva have been by far our most reliable and consistent players this season, without question. Everyone else has had very patchy form. I think it's very likely Mount takes POTY this time, he's the only one in attack who's actually doing something with it.
  3. 2 LB's on the bench is silly, I don't understand that either. I don't think Tammy would've offered anything in that game though, I would rather keep Giroud on for the 90.
  4. The falling over is annoying also, I think at his worst that's something to point out, It's frustrating that a guy who's 6'4 isn't particularly good in the air, the Tottenham games comes to mind, that was a very frustrating performance. The constant falling over aswell just pisses people off. But I agree, he's a good player and young, still learning. I think a lot of teams would snap him up if we were to let him go.
  5. So he was dropped them, yeah it doesn't look good for Abraham. I think he's a good player, very frustrating at times but a good player. He should be on the bench over Emerson at the very least. The only thing is though, and it pains me to say it, I don't think he's a game changer. Someone said we could've done with him last game, I disagree, I don't think Tammy would've offered anything besides pace that GIroud couldn't offer. And with Giroud at least you know he's capable of finishing his chances and getting into the right areas, while also getting involved in the build up, Abraham at time can't deliver the goods. I feel for him, it's not a good situation, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him offloaded soon.
  6. Oh okay apologies, I heard he got injured.
  7. Give it more time first, Tuchel has gone for a pragmatic approach. I think we can all agree Southampton was definitely on him, that was a bottle job, a game we should've won but we set up too defensively. Right now, he's starting to put Ziyech, Pulisic and I think eventually Havertz will come back into the mix. Just at the minute, we're playing really hard teams, so it's not the easiest to get your players back into form. The four players you just mentioned all need to start performing, or we're going to miss out on top 4. Because they just haven't done it all season. That goes for Werner also, he's had more game time than any of those listed and still hasn't fully delivered.
  8. I believe Abraham was injured, so I got told on the matchday thread anyway.
  9. We don't really know how the club is run, that's likely the case though. But who knows if they're Lampards targets or not. I did think Werner and Ziyech we're not our style of players for possession based football. Both players looked very direct to me, Ziyech loves to release the ball on the counter and get into space, Werner loves running onto the ball. Havertz looked ideal though, like the type of player Lampard was crying out for last season, someone running into the box and scoring goals.
  10. And they've still only scored 13 more goals than us, not that much of a difference.
  11. I think it was hard for Sarri to adjust here, the Kepa incident especially humiliated him, as it would any manager.
  12. Sarri wasn't sacked, he left. If a manager wants to go, you let him go.
  13. Uhm yes... Why wouldn't he be? He won a Europa League and finished 3rd. Sarri did a good job.
  14. United for me is a completely different ball game. They haven't realistically challenged for a title since Ferguson retired, that was 8 years ago. And I don't count that Jose Mourinho season, they were 16 points behind in like January, that's not a title challenge. They've went through process after process since Ferguson left, brought in core players, youngsters integrated through the ranks. Their fans know they should be doing better, that's why so many are still critical of Ole and want a better manager. United for all the money they've spent, should be challenging for the league by now, not just comfortably sitting 2nd while being miles behind, that's not a title challenge. With us, we've had more setbacks, but we've won two league titles since United last won one. For United the standards have to be different, considering they've spending just as much as the other top sides but haven't achieved anything in so long. I would genuinely be shocked if they managed to win anything under Ole, and I can't see that United side challenging for the title under him next season, I'll eat my hat if he does.
  15. United are playing football we can only dream about? I think a lot of United fans would disagree there lmao
  16. 2nd, miles behind the title, kicked out of Champions League, League Cup and likely FA Cup again. So another trophyless season?
  17. Yes, sorry master, I was wrong, very very wrong. You're dead right.
  18. Good for you mate! Not sure why you're needlesly quoting me with random bollocks all the time, if you've got an issue with me having a different opinion on here, feel free to ban me.. Again.
  19. I don't think we can put our chips on Werner sadly. He doesn't fill me with any confidence, not sure if we should just get another striker or give him another season. But we've done this before and it hasn't worked, Torres, Morata, two examples off the top of my head.
  20. Frank Lampard FC, I'm only supporting the team now until Frank gets his next job elsewhere, then I'll leave this forum and you can all be happy.
  21. If we don't finish top 4 that will be massively dissapointing I won't deny it. But I'll still be willing to give Tuchel another season here, his own transfer window, etc. For me to want Tuchel gone this season it would have to be something drastic, say if we lost every game from now on the bounce, or he came out and did a Conte v2 but to an even worse extent. Overall I think he's doing a good job. I think Frank did get a good defensive setup in this team in the back 4, but that soon faded in December, after that we looked very easy to score against. He has definitely sorted the defence out, but when it comes to the attack, not much improvement sadly. There has been improvement though, but I can see why people are dissappointed, even though I do think people are overreacting.
  22. I have no issues with you Scott, but honestly if you read your posts on each match day thread you would think we're in relegation. You slate every bit of play that occurs on the pitch. Even playing it out from the back, which we're very good at, you think we're sh*t. I honestly don't know how you cope watching Chelsea games if it's this bad for you.
  23. If these are the reactions now, I f**king dread to see what this forum will be like when we lose a game.
  24. I don't know, every game looks like a different game lately. It would greatly help if Pulisic and Ziyech found some form, because they are two of our best attackers on paper. I can't go on past games too much becaues I don't know what to expect.
  25. I for one will die on this hill and say that I like possession based football, and I think Sarri started some solid foundations here. But, I wish we could up the tempo a bit more. Besides City I think we're the best team in the league when it comes to ball retention. I think people are far too critical towards our team when it comes to playing it out from the back, we're really good at it, one of the best. United were shattered in that 2nd half, you could see around the 70th, Dan James and Bruno were exhausted and just stopped chasing the ball. I just wish we were as good when it came to distribution, our attack needs serious work.
