  1. It's a shame we've got such a hard pile of fixtures at the minute, because we really need to get our attackers back in form. I'm still not completely counting out Havertz just yet, I still believe Pulisic and Ziyech will have something good to contribute this season, the sooner we get them going though the better, and they can only do that with starts.
  2. Not exactly hiding if it's your natural habitat is it!
  3. If we lose, I'll be hiding in my Fallout Shelter for a few weeks.
  4. Who else can we field though? Pulisic, Werner, Havertz, Abraham, Ziyech have all been out of form, Callum picked up a knock so I don't think he wants to rush him back into a start. Best thing we can do is get these players who've done f**k all all season back into form and contributing. I love Giroud, but I can see why he went with Werner in this one, and a lot of people were having a go at Tuchel for not playing Werner last game due to his pace. Either way, you're not going to be happy with the selection.
  5. Blehh, both teams doing us no favours it seems.
  6. Surprised to see Ziyech there again, I was betting on Pulisic to start tonight. Maybe Ziyech is performing in training? I know one thing for sure though, he can't be strolling about like he did last time, seriously need more intensity this time.
  7. I think if we fielded prime Ronaldinho, Messi, Zidane and Ronaldo it wouldn't boost your confidence for tonight!
  8. You fickle bastard!
  9. I wasn't confident against United, but I wasn't confident against Atletico either. I'm more confident against this one due to how bad Liverpools defence has been this season. But I'm not expecting an easy game, that front 3 of theirs can cause anyone problems and isn't to be taken lighty. But I agree, I can't see a clean sheet in this game, I think they'll score. That might bring the team out more and push them to actually attack and get something out of the game, rather than sitting back. Regarding the United comment, fair enough, it just sounded as though you were saying we got off lightly against United, I disagree. It was a dull game by all means, but if any team deserves to win it, it was ours, we should've put our chances to bed. United really didn't get any good chances, they messed up good opportunities though.
  10. What's with this negative outlook on everything lately? We also had our chances in that game. Ziyech hit a squared ball right at De Gea, Giroud missed a great cross and was inches away. Mount had a moment of magic and realistically should've scored that chance. In the 2nd half we had a handful of chances that could've put the game to bed. But yes, lets talk about how lucky we were because United happened to f**k up two counter attacks...
  11. Ancelotti and Mourinho got piss poor transfer recruitment I agree (after winning the title). Not sure if they wanted that or what, I doubt it. Conte on the other hand, I don't think so at all, we signed many players then, just all of them were absolute w**k. But I think Conte wanted those targets, he was always moaning about lack of depth, then we happened to get fullbacks from the Serie A to assist with that, go for the target men strikers that he likes, he was an admirer of Drinkwater, he said so before when Leicester won the league he liked the Kante-Drinkwater partnership. All things considered, I think it's fair to guess Conte had a bigger say than a lot of people think he did. Especially when we he got to Inter he was signing the exact same type of players, moaning about the exact same things.
  12. Those expecting us to comfortably win this game will be very disappointed. They're still a good side despite the terrible form they're in. That front 3 can cause anyone problems. One big aspect we do need to focus on though is that defence, I think this game is a the best defence is a great offence type of game. Give Liverpool hell at the back and they'll suffer, invite pressure and they'll have the confidence to go on and score and win the game. We can definitely win this game, but I don't think it will be easy or comfortable.
  13. I don't want to be too negative, but I'm still not 100% hopeful they're Chelsea material myself... Christensen has been excellent, but I'll have to see how long they can keep these performances up until I completely judge, especially in a back 4.
  14. I'm sure we'll stay up this season, I wouldn't worry.
  15. In Carlo's 2nd period I remember us having a very uncreative team with no pace at all. Malouda finished the season as our top scorer with 12 or goals something like that. I have no idea how we managed to finish 2nd, Carlo did an an amazing job. And 2012 the AVB period especially was painful, not the Di Matteo bit obviously.
  16. I just think strikers get a bit more leeway tbf. James was excellent this season, but lately his form has dipped, particularly with the back 5.
  17. Rudiger and Christensen have looked so much better lately, last season the pair of them were an absolute mess.
  18. Is CHO out for this game? I think he might be. I would play Puli over Havertz though, but that's a good team imo.
  19. I thought we were worse around 2010-2012 period when it came to attacking and scoring goals. Also Jose's 3rd season, we were pretty sh*t at creating chances then also. Not the most optimistic outlook but I've seen worse Chelsea teams. This is probably the most passive we've looked though, from what I can remember.
  20. Lol I'm just saying, I think we can all agree he shouldn't be our number 1, but for his very role I think he's done a great job this season, he has 11 goals in 23 games, and minutes wise he averages a goal per game.
  21. I think he should go with the Jorginho-Kovacic partnership again.
  22. Could be, it was brought up last week that Tammy wasn't interested in signing a new contract.
  23. In a team such as this, that's not creating a great deal of chances, I don't think you can underestimate the job he's done in the limited game time he's had. I think he's been very reliable.
  24. Giroud can be quiet, but he's still reliable, and he's feeding off scraps. He had one chance that Atletico game and scored.
