Exactly. On the whole it wasn't a bad performance from us. People need to realise this. Id understand if we were playing against relegation fodder but a team like Arsenal will improve.

For people who are slating conte are wrong. He tried something a bit different here and I for one applaud him for doing so. We dominated Arsenal for large parts of the game but they just defended very well. Something which is usually the other way round. I couldn't remember courtois making any saves the second half. On another day we beat them 1 or 2 nil. There are still plenty of positives to take from this. I particularly enjoyed the introduction of bakayoko and hope that conte plays him more regularly.

Hi guys I've been lurking here recently but thought I'd join you for some insight and banter! I'm a Chelsea fan from the Midlands and been supporting since I was 7 when hoddle was in charge. I must admit the roots never came to me naturally, more so because I wanted to be different and my best friend at primary school was an avid Chelsea supporter so I joined him in becoming one! A decision I've never regretted :)

Seriously Everton are so poor against top 6 opposition it's pure comical. At least when Martinez were in charge they used to give proper competition. Koeman is showing himself to be extremely poor manager at Everton. He should have stayed at Southampton.

I know a lot are very disappointed with the result but this wasn't such a bad display. You need to realise that le arse shipped 4 goals against Liverpool and have generally been poor against top 6 opposition in the premiership. Today against us, they were always going to defend a lot better than they have been. I thought we controlled most the game especially in the second half when bakayoko came on, we looked so much more assured. My only negative was that conte did not start a midfield trio of kante,bakayoko and fabregas. Also starting cahill was a mistake personally. He needs to be phased out from the first team. The luiz sending off was 100% right imo. It was at least a yellow as he had the chance to clear but tried to be too clever. Overall it wasn't a bad performance
