Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - Decent Squad Player
That's great for Leicester but doesn't seem like a good deal for you guys. I've read about him & he's very highly rated.

Any truth to the rumour that Michael Golding is going the other way as part of the deal.?

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - Decent Squad Player
Casadei was getting more minutes due to injuries but prior to that he was being used as a sub. He played 875 minutes in the Championship & scored 2 goals so while he was good in the air he wasn't a massive goal threat. His biggest shortcoming was his lack of speed, personally speaking I wouldn't want him back. Dewsbury Hall is quite a good player, lots of energy, more natural skill than Gallagher in my opinion but in truth I really don't see why you need him. Obviously Maresca is calling the shots on this one but I'm assuming that Gallagher is leaving & KDH is his replacement.

Getting picked by Southgate is the defining moment in any players career ......It shows that you are the in your position

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - Decent Squad Player
It sure looks that way if you are bringing KDH in.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - Decent Squad Player
Yes very similar but with more natural talent

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - Decent Squad Player
Yes attacking central midfield . He is not a natural winger by any means. You are 100 percent correct in that Maresca utilizes 2 wingers in his system He starts with a back 4 but one of the 4, then usually the LB or RB will move forward & play alongside the single DM when his side has the ball. Then two attacking midfielders, 2 wingers & 1 striker.

I was never quite sure what possessed you to buy DD but he's way better than Drinkwater !!! He is a very hardworking attacking midfielder with a pretty decent skillset. He fits in well to the Maresca system.

Marc Cucurella
He has looked great at the Euros !! Cucurella is perfect for Maresca type football. !! I don't see him going anywhere.

Conor Gallagher
I would be surprised that a home grown Chelsea lad would want to go to Spurs.... I guess it means he can stay in London.

Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*
I've said this all along that Leicester does not have the quality necessary to play Pepball in the Premier. I think Maresca may make it work at Chelsea due to the quality of players you have & the willingness of your owners to spend like a drunken sailor on shore leave.

Conor Gallagher
Yes .. I was thinking Reece James, he has played DM before. I'm not sure where Chilwell fits into a Maresca team.

I think Fernandez could certainly play the 6 role. He is a very good passer & solid defensively. Which LB / RB is capable of stepping into the 6 alongside him ?

Wesley Fofana at Chelsea *Official*
He was absolutely amazing for Leicester and looked like a real talent. Maybe just loan him back to Leicester .. we can use him.
-
Conor Gallagher
Exactly with either the LB or RB stepping into the 6 role when you have possession. 4-3-3 turning into 3-2-4-1. The 6 is pivotal to the setup in both defence & offence.

I'm reading that the contract is exactly that. Two year with triggers for the following three. It means that the payout if fired is only 2 years.

Patson Daka really didn't fit the Maresca mould for a centre forward. He did get a run but didn't play a lot as the season progressed. Maresca likes a CF who can hold the ball up and Daka has the touch of a blacksmith. Leicester will almost certainly sell him but he's not good enough for you.

You will see way more control with Maresca. Lots said about his possession style but he also knows how to set up a defence. I watch lots of Chelsea games anyway but I will have a special interest from now on.

I totally agree. I love football but I need to be entertained. Tapping the ball around without getting anywhere drives me nuts.

He used him as a substitute quite a lot initially & then as a starter when we had injuries. Funnily enough when he was playing more you guys called him home to sit on the bench.

No. Not really, he did play a few youngsters at first but as the season progressed he stuck with the same team pretty much.

Next to Ginger Rogers.

I think if he’s hired he will go after Leicester‘s Danish goalkeeper. Mads Hermansen is the Danish international back up keeper and is very good with his feet as well as being a very good keeper

I have my doubts about him but I want him to be as success . Is that idiotic ???

As I said in the Next Manager thread he plays a Pep possession type of game which is very tough to watch. You have much better players than us so he may be successful with the system at Chelsea . As the season progressed quite a few Championship managers just sat back and let Leicester tap the ball around in mid field and we struggled to find a plan B. He is very slow with his substitutions but again that may be due to a lack of quality on the bench. Personally I don't think he is ready for a top job like Chelsea but I hope I'm wrong.
