I've got Chelsea down for a 3-1 win. I hope Ralf plays the kids. At least they will follow instructions and show some heart.

Rashford won't get his head up to see where he is on the pitch. Lingard can't be bothered because he's off in a few weeks, but De Gea will be up for it.

He would have made us champions by 1980. The board(s) have done more damage to United than any manager has ever done.

I was at that game with my mate from school. We had Ian Ure in the team and David Sadler and Paul Edwards in defence. No wonder we lost. Funnily enough, we went to Anfield the week after and won 4-1.

And if they do sweep the board, we might as well fold our tents and move away because we'll never hear the last of it. In 1977, they were odd-on for the treble and I think that Liverpool side was even better than the one they have now. It was a one-off game like all cup finals when form goes out of the window. Chelsea are more than good enough to win on the day. It would be a nice screw you to those who've harmed the club as well.

What has happened to Chelsea is a disgrace. I'll say no more about that but on the pitch, you've got the edge. Our lot can't play for toffee. Getting dumped on by Lego Pep was the last straw for me.

Point taken, but you have an infrastructure in place so that when a suitable owner is found, all he has to do is pick up the keys. You'll beat the dippers at Wembley. Everyone though the European Cup was City's last year and look what happened.

3 points for you lot then. I can't see us turning up for this as the whole place is in turmoil.

Saudi Arabian Media? I wonder if they castigated the Saudi royals for dissecting that journalist a while back? My brother-in-law does a lot of work with the Saudis and he reckons that when it comes to image, nobody moves without the tacit approval of the highest echelon. Since Khashoggi was murdered, they have been ultra-sensitive about casting the nation in a bad light.

Right lads, get on the bus, we're off to Wales. Pick up your packed lunch from the canteen and we'll stop at a half-way house for a pint and a sandwich. You'' love the bracing air there and the quaint local customs. They'd be demanding a transfer before you could say Jack Robinson. I know our lot would.

Whatever happened to Roman's lawsuit against Catherine Belton and Harper Collins? If memory serves, he initiated legal proceedings against them for remarks made in Belton's book 'Putin's People' that Roman claimed defamed him and Chelsea FC. This dates back to the High Court case involving Sergei Pugachev, whose evidence, though discredited, was that Putin ordered Roman to buy Chelsea. This was repeated by Belton in her book.

I wonder what modern players would think about training in Aberystwyth?

Excellent post. It really is frightening. Maybe you can answer this. If a debt is sold to a third-party, can said third-party control the level of interest or is this fixed in the sales contract and cannot be altered. A lot of clubs are robbing Peter to pay Paul as you say and no-one is immune, except for perhaps City and the barcodes.

Not that I can recall. It wasn't until much later - and with the usual hindsight - that the press exposed Revie as a wrong 'un. But prior to 1974, there were plenty of stories out there that should have alerted the FA. Alan Ball had made it public that Revie had tapped him up at Blackpool and had offered him cash to sign for Leeds. Earlier, he tried to bribe Bob Stokoe, then manager of Bury, with £500 to 'go easy' on Leeds who were fighting relegation to the old 3rd Division. Stokoe told him to shove it. Later, when Stokoe was manager of Blackpool, Revie wanted to buy Tony Green but Stokoe refused to sell to him. He attempted to bribe Wolves players in 1972 to hand Leeds the title. He didn't do it himself but assigned the task to two players and when it came out, the papers were all over it. All of this was glossed over when Revie got the England job. Cloughie kept on at him in his newspaper column but people put that down to sour grapes about being passed over by the FA.

Bowles was a great player but an utter wind-up merchant. He was tipped to be the next big thing a Maine Road back in the day but his off-the-pitch antics were too much even for Malcolm Allison (who once appeared in a soft-porn magazine with Mary Millington) and Joe Mercer decided he had to go.

Brings back memories of football how it used to be. Reaney, Charlton, and Madeley yelling at each other and Sprake after Leeds conceded. Revie must have put the fear of God into them because I saw this scene repeated at Elland Road on my first trip there in September 1969. Leeds fans were barracking Best who was having a quiet game, and Leeds were in control. Then, as he often did, he took matters into his own hands and scored a brace, the second of which had Leeds defenders all over the place. Just like in the picture, Jack Charlton was screaming at his fellow defenders and Revie was up off the bench pointing and yelling. I suppose it says a lot about how competitive that Leeds side was back then. As for Gary Sprake, on his day, he was unbeatable but man was he prone to cock-ups. He ended up a pariah there for speaking out of school about how Revie conducted his business. He should never have been allowed anywhere near the England job.

You can probably pick me out if you look hard enough. No colours, green combat jacket and jeans. You gave him a great send off that's for sure. That looks like Mick Martin with his hands on his hips. Didn't move much did our Mick.
