Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
To bring on Ziyech for CHO was simply a wrong decision. Ok, after the game anyone can see and say that but Ziyech was bad against Wolves, Barnsley and now. So if he is not showing anything then Tuchel must take the blame when he is not selecting other players.

Explaining this surprise decision, Tuchel said: “We need a strong Kepa in our squad. He had a good game in the Cup so we decided to give him another match to build up a little of rhythm, a little bit of confidence and to trust him. "And to give at the same time Edouard the chance to recover, to mentally recover. It is a demanding position mentally and concentration-wise.” This does not sound like Mendy has lost his place. I expect him to play against Southampton and Madrid.

This decision for Kepa smells a little bit like Tuchel wants to please the board. It seems that he has learned his lesson from Paris and Dortmund.

I think Marina will soon fall in love with Tuchel if he succeeds with Kepa.

The good news is that draws against top league clubs might be enough now to reach the top 4. When Tuchel took over it looked like only wins even against the top league clubs would help. So it looks now a little bit better but the pressure is still there to win tomorrow against Newcastle.

I would not say that United is completely out of reach but I agree that at the moment Leicester and Liverpool seem to be the main opponents for the 4th. But lets not forget Everton as well because they have 2 games in hand. Anyways the most important is to win the next two games against Sheffield and Newcastle and then the 4th should be in reach no matter what the other clubs are doing. Especially in the next round Leicester will play against Liverpool. So it is guaranteed that one of them will drop points.

well, the other left backs are sitting on the bench: Chillwell and Emerson. So call Alonso a left wing back if you prefer that. ?

I think Aurier is their weak point in their defense. Aurier lost them their matches against Liverpool and Leicester. So I think CHO and Werner (maybe Alonso as well) will attack on the left side.

This should be a 4-2-3-1 Mendy Azpi, Thiago, Rüdiger, Alonso Kovacic, Jorginho James, Mount, Hudson-Odoi Werner

Against Liverpool he has 1 win, 1 draw and 2 losses, so he must improve this record.

I am really curious what the tactical changes of Thomas Tuchel will look like against Mourinho. Don't think he will stick to the 3 center backs because Spurs probably will only play with one striker without Harry Kane. So I expect that Azpi will probably play a "real" right back and we will see only 2 center backs this time in a 4-2-3-1 like this Mendy Azpi, Thiago Silva, Rüdiger, Chilwell Kovacic, Jorginho Hudson-Odoi, Mount, Ziyech Giroud (Werner)

Basically I agree if you consider this as a basic formation to start with. But Tuchel will change the system from three central defenders to two defenders during the game when he thinks this is needed. He did this at Mainz, Dortmund or Paris. Tuchel's teams are very flexible and he loves when they are able to play different systems so that he can change tactics during the game. Wolves and Burnley both started with two strikers and Tuchel decided to start with three CBs. If Mourinho will start with one striker it is highly probable that you will see only 2 CBs against the Spurs.
