City tried to sign Kounde first, Días was the option B. 
We don’t usually sell our best player in Winter market cause our goals are fighting La Liga, Copa del rey and go further in UCL. 
Nope. We are surprised for this 50M first bid after Zouma went to WH. You had the yes from the player and just 70M two weeks ago would have been enough. 
He is not the kind of player we are looking for. 
He is willing to play for you and the clause is demanded now, a couple of weeks it was €70.
Yeap, he has a press conference tomorrow to talk about the market and make a balance. It is strange cause the market is already open, that's why I think any possibility of selling a player is closed. 
He is out of our market now, we tried it a few weeks ago but we can not go desesperate to the market with a "last minute" face. 

It is very simple and what @trensa and I have stated about this. Weeks back Zouma to Weat ham was on and we verbally agreed that deal with Sevilla. The add ons would have taken the price to somewhere in region of 60mill euros.
However we decided not to go ahead with the deal in case Zouma did not leave as we already added Trev primarily as a CB and TT did not want more than this number at CB ( Ruidger, Silva, Christensen, Zouma, Dave, Trev). 
So we did not trust West ham would cough up the cash and did not make the move for Kounde until the deal was done. Problem became that Sevilla now face increased cost to replace Kounde due to it being late in the window. The replace would cost them 15mill euros more than before, so they want us to cover the cost of that so they still make a profit after paying for the new player and Koundes sell on fee. We don't want to do so, so the deal is off.
If you remember way back Liverpool did the same thing with Torres late in the winter window. 15mill on top of whatever his replacement, Carroll, costs.

Our alternatives are pretty tough right now. Lille won´t let go his best defender just right before the deadline and we don´t want to overpay a player cause the bid is so late. Sevilla wanted to make the deal but we waited for the zouma´s transfer all the summer and the first bid of 50M was ridiculous.

Looks like Sevilla priced Kounde out. Zouma deal probably took too long which left Sevilla too little time to find a replacement. 

Koulibaly is older and Napoli wanted like 80-10m. 70 for Kounde is a fair price, PL pays a lot of money for mediocres players, like Kepa or Laporte. 

Sevilla are a well run club like Dortmund. Like them they cover their money needs by selling Gil to Spurs as Dortmund did with Sancho.
Dortmund had there 200mill price for Haaland, we did not meet it, he does not come here. If we don't meet Sevillas price Kounde does not come.
Just as we had to meet Inters lo g quote price of 115mill euros for Lukaku. 
That is why I am expecting it falls through.

Sevilla is not going to sell Kounde for less than €70m, that´s impossible cause we rejected a few better bids and cause we have to pay a 15% fee to Girondins. I don´t think that Monchi sells Kounde last minute and maybe this weekend is the last oportunity to make this deal.
