Gordon Bennett reacted to El regreso in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityIf our lads don’t clatter him consistently throughout the game against city I will be disappointed.
I can see Fofana absolutely leathering him. He seems the type to do that!!

Up the Chels!

You’re just getting upset at hypotheticals.
Lavia looks fit and has finished 90 minutes. RJ breaks down a lot less at CM. We have no idea about Caicedo. Barco doesn’t get injured and looks an upgrade on Enzo already so far.

Gordon Bennett reacted to El regreso in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityGlad this twat is gone he’s c**t of the highest order. His ego doesn’t match his talent,
And losing him doesn’t affect sh*te we lost players 5x his ability and we are still CFC!!!
f**k both Enzos

I think you are letting your vendetta against the ownership blind your judgement Scott, this was 100% down to the poor management at Monaco who thought they could juggle the two deals.
City didn't play anybody, they had no idea Monaco would make such a hash of it. In fact WE played City, they paid well over the odds for Enzo and even had to add a few million to get a player nobody else wanted, including us. It's not as if they poached our best player, he was a very expensive ok midfielder, Rogers will more than make up for him.
We will survive easily until January with what we've got, and with the improvements we have already got I think we will be more competitive and certainly more enjoyable to watch than the last few seasons, and come January we will get who we want.

Caicedo, Lavia, Barco, RJ, Essugo, Watson, Nicole-Jazuli, Henderson
8 players for 2 positions while playing one game a week until January. At which point Palace will be relegated and we can throw our weight at a proper replacement in Wharton or get Camara on the cheap.
You’re being needlessly dramatic, getting rid of Enzo was the most important thing in this window for squad harmony.

Gordon Bennett reacted to SydneyChelsea in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityEnzo's goals are such a furphy. 10 goals and just 4 assists is pretty good for an AM, but's a very average return for a second-striker which was essentially his role under Maresca/Rosenior.
Rogers playing in a similar attacking role adds the same stats but also with the additional ability to carry the ball on the dribble, which Fernandez cannot do.
Cherki has been known to have some serious attitude issues when things aren't to his liking. I doubt he makes it past this season with City.

Gordon Bennett reacted to C3blue in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityLooks like Camara is happening, had a feeling something was gonna happen although Balagun failing his medical helped it fall into place apparently.
Now we have a younger hungrier player better suited for the role and system and Enzo out. £75-80m in the bank as well. Happy days.

Gordon Bennett reacted to Valerie in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityGood riddance. Had the occasional goal in him, papering over the cracks of his overall match performance. I never doubted his passion, but that hardly ever translated into leadership. Now watch him become a star at City 😄
-
He didn't want to play for us so good riddance.
If we don't specifically replace I'm not overly bothered, I'll take the style of play and the enjoyment of watching it without him in the team weve had so far all day long.
Even with the way we've started and the excellent transfer window we've had so far (in and outs) the negativity on here is baffling, and the stubborn refusal to give the club any credit for it is just plain petty, I'm sure some on here would prefer to see us fail so they can say they we're right about blue co.
I'm looking forward to this season for the first time in a few years.. its a great feeling !!

Gordon Bennett reacted to 19seventyone in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityIf we get a midfielder in this has to go down as a near perfect transfer window.
Still a 9 out of 10 even if that’s us done. We’ve upgraded several key positions and moved on the vast majority of unwanted players.
Neto and Gusto moving on would have been good but both will still contribute.
I fully expect Wharton or Scott in January if Palace and Bournemouth are clear of the relegation places.

Gordon Bennett reacted to Sexyfootball in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityIf we have genuinely turned down a City bid in excess of £120m then we are crazy. There is virtually no market for Enzo at the price we are asking. Of the clubs that could afford him, City are the only ones that actually want him, and that's probably 100% Maresca's doing (I can't imagine Guardiola would have been interested if he was still their manager).
A bird in the hand and all that ...

Nice of Egbahli to tell you this, any news on if Ben Roberts is being hung for treason?
